摘要: A method and system for providing secure aerial or space communications. A general payload and a hosted payload are provided on a vehicle. The hosted payload encrypts a data packet that contains restricted data using a secure key to create an encrypted packet. The general payload encrypts the encrypted packet using a general key to create a multilayer-encrypted packet. The multilayer-encrypted packet is transmitted from the vehicle to a destination.

摘要: A system and method for an adaptive network of network access nodes comprises a global network operations center (GNOC) receiving operator inputs and generating a global policy according to the operator inputs. The GNOC and/or a distributed network gateway (GW) generate configuration commands for configurations for at least one of the network access nodes based on the global policy, transmit the configuration commands to at least one of the network access nodes, and receive telemetry from at least one of the network access nodes. The distributed network GW transmits a summary of key performance indicators (KPIs) to the GNOC and the GNOC revises the global policy according to the summary of KPIs.

摘要: A satellite payload system is presented. The system includes plurality of optical processing modules, including a plurality of ring-connected optical processing modules and at least one inter-satellite optical processing module, and at least one optical fiber ring communicatively coupled to each of the ring-connected optical processing modules. At least one of the ring-connected optical processing modules is configured to provide on-board signal processing of signals conveyed on the at least one optical fiber ring. At least one of the ring-connected optical processing modules is communicatively coupled to a respective inter-satellite optical processing module. Each inter-satellite optical processing module is configured to optically communicatively couple to a respective remote satellite.

摘要: An example system for satellite payload communications includes a digital channelizer and a regenerative communications subsystem (RCS). The digital channelizer includes a plurality of inputs for receiving a plurality of signals from a plurality of uplink beams and a plurality of outputs for outputting the plurality of signals. The RCS includes a plurality of inputs selectably coupled to the digital channelizer outputs to receive signals from selected ones of the digital channelizer outputs and a plurality of outputs selectably coupled to the digital channelizer inputs to transmit the processed signals to selected ones of the digital channelizer inputs. The RCS is configured to process selected ones of the plurality of signals to produce processed signals.

摘要: An apparatus includes an analog front end to receive an analog input including user data, and an analog-to-digital converter to convert the analog input to digital signals including the user data. A digital channelizer may process the digital signals to generate frequency slices of user data, and a digital combiner may assemble the frequency slices to form output sub-bands of user data. A digital switch may route the frequency slices from the digital channelizer to the digital combiner according to a selected map of a plurality of available maps. The apparatus also includes a map selector to communicate map select data that indicates the selected map. The digital channelizer may receive and insert the map select data into the frequency slices in-band with the user data thereof. And the digital switch may interpret the map select data inserted into and route the frequency slices according to the selected map.

Further, the method involves reallocating, with at least one processor, when the communication demand for at least one cell exceeds the capacity threshold for at least one cell, at least a portion of the MSS resources such that at least one cell is able to meet the communication demand.
