    Abstract: A torsional quick-connect fastening device includes a housing, a rotatable retainer, and a torsional elastic element. The housing can be a hollow cylinder or other shape. The rotatable retainer is movably received in an inner receiving space of the housing, and has an interconnecting rod with a force-application portion and a retaining section connected to two opposite ends thereof. The torsional elastic element is a coiled torsion spring with two ends fixedly connected to the housing and the rotatable retainer, so as to bring the rotatable retainer to rotate while moving axially. When the housing is attached to a first plate and the rotatable retainer is operated to rotate and extend the retaining section through a second plate, the torsional elastic element automatically turns the retaining section to a position for firmly pressing against the second plate, so that the two plates are quickly and conveniently fastened together.

    Abstract: A packaging method for assembling a screw to a printed circuit board (PCB) includes the steps of: providing a screw having a head, a threaded shank, and a ferrule enclosing the threaded shank; mounting a stop ring on the threaded shank to maintain a predetermined height from top of the head to bottom of the ferrule; using a tool to fetch the screw and align the threaded shank with one through hole provided on the PCB; releasing the screw from the tool for a flange of the ferrule to extend into the through hole on the PCB; heating to melt a solder layer atop of the PCB, so that the ferrule is fixedly held to the PCB when the molten solder layer is cooled and hardened again; and removing the stop ring so that the threaded shank is retracted into the ferrule.

    Abstract: A quick assembly apparatus includes a fastening unit, a control unit and an elasticity unit. The fastening unit includes a head section and a fastening section, a through channel connecting the head section and the fastening section, and a notch at the fastening section to form a plurality of elastic fastening elements. The control unit is movably inserted in the through channel, includes a supporting section supporting the elastic fastening elements, a control shaft connected with the supporting section and extending out from the fastening section, and an extension shaft connected with the supporting section and extending towards the head section. The elasticity unit is fitted around the extension shaft of the control unit, and has its one end pushed against the control unit and its another end pushed against the fastening unit. Accordingly, the quick assembly apparatus is capable of quickly and steadily assembling two plates.

    Abstract: A packaging method for assembling a captive screw to a printed circuit board (PCB) includes the steps of providing a captive screw having a screw head, a threaded shank and a sleeve; pressing a fixture toward the screw head for a part of the threaded shank to exposed from a distal end of the sleeve, and then clamping the fixture on the sleeve; providing a PCB having through holes and a layer of solder provided thereon; using a tool to pick up the fixture and the captive screw and align the threaded shank with one through hole on the PCB; releasing the fixture and the captive screw from the tool for a flange at the distal end of the sleeve to extend into the through hole; heating, melting and then cooling to harden the solder layer, so that the sleeve is fixedly held to the PCB; and removing the fixture.
