Abstract:
In an electronic timepiece including a battery, a time count circuit for counting reference clock signals from an oscillator and a display unit for displaying the counted values of the time count circuit, there is provided a switching mechanism for controlling a function other than a time count function. A battery set signal which is generated upon incorporation of a battery into the body of the timepiece is temporarily held in a holding circuit. The timepiece includes a switching circuit which, when the switching mechanism is operated, permits a switching operation signal for controlling a function other than the time count function to be switched by the output of a signal holding circuit to a switching operation signal for controlling a time setting function. The timepiece further includes a counter in which the contents are counted by the latter switching operation signal. The output of the counter is delivered as an instruction for time counting. After the time count circuit completes its time setting operation, the signal holding circuit releases its hold state to permit the switching mechanism to return to the state of the normal time function.
Abstract:
A stop watch device has a time-counting circuit which is caused to count time by clock pulses from an oscillator and the count value of which is displayed on the display section. The time-counting circuit starts counting time in response to a time-count start instruction which is produced by operating a switching device. It stops counting time when the switching device is operated again at any time after the first operation. The stop watch device is further provided with a control circuit. The control circuit allows the time-counting circuit in its rest state to start counting time again in addition to the time already counted, when the switching device is operated again. It clears the count value of the time-counting circuit when the switching device is operated twice consecutively in a short time, either during the non-counting period of the time-counting circuit or during the counting period thereof.
Abstract:
An information processor functions to continuously and successively read out from an external memory a plurality of records each consisting of a plurality of words, extract a record whose specified word used as a key word corresponds to the designated condition and store the record in a main memory and is characterized in that it comprises an address memory for successively writing each record in the main memory and receiving and storing an address data each time the heading address of each record is written in and a means for returning the address of the main memory to the heading address stored in the address memory when the result of the collation between the designated key word of the record written in the main memory and a prescribed condition proves that the key word does not correspond to the condition.

An information memory device comprising a plurality of register units each formed of an N number of memory elements alternately cascade connected, an N number of corresponding transfer elements and designed to be stored with an (N-1) number of digits, wherein each memory element can be stored with a digit; each transfer element is intended to transfera digit stored in a memory element connected to the input terminal of said transfer element to another memory element connected to the output terminal of said transfer element; a shift pulse generator is provided which is designed to supply each of the N number of transfer elements with a shift pulse in succession starting with the transfer element disposed on the output side of the register unit, with the phase of a shift pulse changed each time, thereby enabling one digit to be stored by a combination of one memory element and one transfer element, and also an (N-1) number of digits to be stored while being shifted in the register units by an N number of shift pulses delivered from the shift pulse generator.
Abstract:
Six groups of time indicating elements are constituted by combining 10 "minute" indicating elements with two of 12 "hour" indicating elements. One terminal of the time indicating elements in the respective group is commonly connected to a first connecting means and the opposite terminal of the corresponding time indicating elements in the respective group is commonly connected to a second connecting means. Hour and minute indicating signals from a time counting device of an electronic clock apparatus are supplied, in a time division fashion, through the first and second connecting means to the corresponding time indicating element.
Abstract:
A coded information-reading device which comprises means for measuring the time of reading out a given piece of coded information consisting of a prescribed number of bits by determining a length of time required to read out two reading speed-detecting signals impressed immediately before and after said piece of coded information; means for dividing the determined reading time by said prescribed number of bits to measure the average per-bit reading time; and means for generating synchronizing clock pulses according to said average per-bit reading time, thereby successively reading out said prescribed number of bits constituting the following piece of coded information.
Abstract:
An information input device includes first and second counting means serially connected so as to be cyclically driven, a matrix circuit having row lines connected to an output from the first counting means and column lines, and a timing count value selecting circuit consisting of a plurality of AND circuits the respective one gate of which is connected to the respective column line of the matrix circuit and the respective opposite gate of which is connected to an output from the second counting means. The timing count value selecting circuit is adapted to select count values of the first and second counting means on a count timing basis by both an output of the column line selected at the intersection crossed by the row line which is selected by the output of the first counting means through the operation of the input key and an output from the second counting means. The information input signal provides a coded information signal from both an output from the timing count value selecting circuit and count outputs from the first and second counting means.
Abstract:
All data are uniformly and automatically processed in a data processing system. An input record is transformed into a record having a uniform format. All file formats are unified. A desired record is read out from a file and transformed into an arbitrary format. Data input processing, a file update processing, and data output processing are designed to process data independently, uniformly, and automatically. A process content to be performed by each of the data input, file update, and data output processings is designated by a simple data item such as a record keyword and a data word.

The designating slip type stored in the word name storage device is outputted, the word names are read out from the word name storage device and the respectively corresponding word data is read out from the word data storage device, and an elongated slip of the designated slip type is outputted in which the word names and the respectively corresponding word data are arranged in units of rows, the number of rows on the elongated slip being a function of the number of stored word names corresponding to the outputted designated slip type.
Abstract:
A data processing apparatus comprises input, file update, display and print processing units which are independently operated and linked to each other. Arbitrary word labels can independently be set in each processing unit. Each processing unit performs only an operation defined by the word labels. The data processed by one processing unit can be used as a source data based on which the succeeding linked processing unit performs another processing operation.
