The ligands contain an aryl covalently bonded to the coordinating metal where the aryl group has at least two different alkyl side chains that are linked ortho and para compared to the linkage of the coordinating metal on that aryl group.

Abstract: A compound having a formula M(LA)x(LB)y(LC)z where ligand LA is ligand LB is and ligand LC is is disclosed. In the formula, M is a heavy metal, x and y are 1, or 2, and z is 0, 1, or 2, where x+y+z is the oxidation state of metal M.
