Abstract: The present invention pertains to a suspension system, in particular, for wheel support of motor vehicles with at least one shock absorber leg consisting of a cylinder and a piston moving in this cylinder for contraction and extension, and actuated by a hydraulic medium, in particular, an oil. Preferably the suspension system is of the hydropneumatic design, whereby the hydraulic medium flows back and forth upon retraction and extension via a hydraulic connection between the shock absorber leg and at least one hydropneumatic shock absorber reservoir containing a compressible medium so that the reservoir generates a hydraulic pressure by compression of the compressible medium that causes a spring force in the shock absorber leg due to the pressure applied to the piston. During the extension of the shock absorber leg the connection between the cylinder chamber and the reservoir will be alternately blocked and opened via pressure differentials from the cylinder chamber and reservoir controlled by a damping valve.

The bias tension of the springs (98) is variable by a setting member (100) acting on these springs (98) in common in a closing or opening direction of the valve elements (96). A load-dependent adjustment of the damping can be achieved, as the setting member (100) is driven by the pressure present inside the gas storer (34).

Abstract: A yarn winding apparatus is disclosed which comprises a spindle mounted for rotation about a fixed axis, and a slide which is mounted adjacent the spindle and which includes a traversing yarn guide and a contact roll for engaging the surface of the package being wound on the spindle. Also, the slide is movable in a radial direction with respect to the spindle, and so that the slide moves radially outwardly as the package builds. Further, biasing means is provided for biasing the slide toward the package during the winding operation. The biasing means comprises structurally simple components, and permits ready control of the biasing force during the entire winding operation.

Abstract: A yarn texturing nozzle is disclosed which comprises a rigid yarn feeding inlet portion wherein a yarn is subjected to a heated and pressurized treatment fluid to heat the yarn and also advance the yarn therethrough. The nozzle also includes a stuffer box comprising a thin walled tube which is located downstream of the inlet portion. The inlet portion comprises a block-like casing having a cylindrical bore extending therethrough, and a guide cylinder which is rotatably mounted in the bore and which includes a central yarn passageway. The casing and guide cylinder of the inlet portion include yarn thread-up slots which may be aligned by rotation of the guide cylinder to a thread-up position, and the guide cylinder may then be rotated to an operating position wherein the slots are non-aligned. The stuffer box also includes a thread-up slot which is aligned either with the slot in the casing of the inlet portion, or with the slot of the guide cylinder, and the slot of the stuffer box is adapted to be closed during operation of the nozzle.
