Abstract:
[Problem] To control a lift force acting on an object being conveyed by non-contact conveyance equipment in a non-contact manner.[Solution] A non-contact conveyance equipment that conveys an object in a non-contact manner, comprises a cup-shaped member including a concave portion, an air inlet, and an opening rim that faces the object, a fan provided inside the concave portion of the cup-shaped member, that rotates to suck air into the concave portion through the air inlet, the air forming a swirl flow in the concave portion, and an adjusting member provided at the cup-shaped member, that adjusts an amount of air sucked through the air inlet.
Abstract:
A content-providing entity receives a relatively short text from a user and attempts to determine, automatically, based on that short text (and on other available clues), a language that the user can read and understand. The content-providing entity may then provide, to the user, documents that are written in the determined language. The content-providing entity may determine a language of the input text based on several factors in combination: (a) the service provider's “market,” which is determined based on at least a portion of the URL of the Internet site to which the user directed his browser; (b) the user's “region,” which is determined based on the source Internet Protocol (IP) address of the IP packets that the user sends to the Internet site; (c) the “script” in which the short user-entered text is written; and (d) a statistical analysis of the frequency of the characters present in the short user-entered text.
Abstract:
Systems that employ microdroplets are used in embodiments for Microdroplet Electrospray Ionisation Mass Spectrometry (ESI MS). Thus, a method of detecting an analyte includes providing an oil composition comprising oil and an aqueous microdroplet comprising the analyte, the oil composition comprising a surfactant to stabilise the aqueous microdroplet in the oil composition; and performing ionisation mass spectrometry analysis of the oil composition.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an acrylamide compound of Formula I, or an isomer, pharmaceutically acceptable salt and solvate thereof, to a composition comprising the compound or an isomer, pharmaceutically acceptable salt and solvate thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, excipient or diluent, and to a use of the compound or the composition for prophylaxis and/or treatment of a disease or disorder associated with cardiomyocyte apoptosis
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and computer readable storage mediums are provided to automatically identifying a classified website. A website is determined to be a candidate site based on a set of heuristics. From among pages constituting the candidate site one or more pages are determined to be listing page candidates and one or more pages are determined to be detail page candidates. Then a listing page score is determined using a listing page classifier. Similarly, a detail page score is determined using a detail page classifier. The listing page and detail page scores each indicate the likelihood that the pages are part of a classified website. A candidate site score is determined based in part on a combination of the listing page score and the detail page scores. Then when the candidate site score is above a threshold the candidate site is determined to be a classified website.
Abstract:
A method for producing a fermentation product from a lignocellulose-containing material comprises pre-treating the lignocellulose-containing material; introducing treated basidiomycota mycelia and/or yeast cells to the pre-treated lignocellulose-containing material; exposing the pre-treated lignocellulose-containing material to an effective amount of hydrolyzing enzyme; and fermenting with a fermenting organism to produce a fermentation product.
Abstract:
A method for producing a fermentation product from a lignocellulose-containing material comprises pretreating the lignocellulose-containing material; introducing treated dissolved air flotation sludge to the pretreated lignocellulose-containing material; exposing the pretreated lignocellulose-containing material to a hydrolyzing enzyme; and fermenting with a fermenting organism to produce a fermentation product.
Abstract:
Example methods, apparatuses, and articles of manufacture are disclosed that may be used to provide or otherwise support one or more ranking specialization techniques for use with search engine information management systems.
Abstract:
A method for producing a fermentation product from a lignocellulose-containing material comprises pre-treating the lignocellulose-containing material; introducing agricultural residues to the pre-treated lignocellulose-containing material; exposing the pre-treated lignocellulose-containing material to one or more hydrolyzing enzymes; and fermenting with a fermenting organism to produce a fermentation product. The agricultural residues may be corn pith and/or corn cob.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method includes providing location factors for first phrases in a collection of phrases, where each location factor for a first phrase is associated with a likelihood that a second phrase of a search query is associated with a location when the first phrase and the second phrase are used in the search query. A search query is received, where the received search query includes a first phrase from the collection of phrases and a second phrase. Whether the second phrase of the received search query refers to a location is determined based, at least in part, on the location factor for the first phrase of the search query.
