    摘要: A paper sheet storing apparatus is configured to collect and accumulate multiple different types of paper sheets in different sizes. The paper sheet storing apparatus has: a paper sheet cartridge configured to have a feeder provided on a side wall thereof for externally feeding paper sheets and arranged to accumulate and keep the paper sheets therein; and a stack guide member configured to introduce the paper sheets, which are fed by the feeder into the paper sheet cartridge, downward in the paper sheet cartridge and to press down surface of an uppermost paper sheet located on a top of the paper sheets accumulated and kept in the paper sheet cartridge. The stack guide member is structured in a specific shape to enable the surface of the uppermost paper sheet to be pressed downward in a vertical direction, with regard to all the multiple different types of paper sheets. This arrangement effectively reduces the potential for paper jams and relevant troubles and ensures stable accumulation of paper sheets.

    摘要: A damping intermediate pillar, which can exhibit a sufficient resistance against the horizontal force of a strong earthquake by reinforcing the joins between the damping intermediate pillar and the upper and lower beams, is disclosed. A damping intermediate pillar 14, used for a building or a structure configured of pillars 1 and beams 3, is divided into upper and lower damping intermediate pillar portions 14a, 14b of H shape steel, and includes a plurality of inner steel plates 7b fixed on the damping intermediate pillar portion 14b and a plurality of outer steel plates 7a fixed on the other damping intermediate pillar portion 14a. The inner and outer steel plates are arranged alternately in a single or a plurality of layers, between which a viscoelastic member 15 is held to make up a viscoelastic damper 17. The coupling end surfaces of the intermediate pillar portions 14a, 14b directed vertically are fixed on the upper and lower floor beams 3a, 3b. Further, one or both sides of each of the damping intermediate pillar portions 14a, 14b (i.e. the coupling members 13a, 13b) and the upper and lower floor beams 3a, 3b are coupled to each other by knee braces 19.

    摘要: A laminated LC component has no directivity in terms of mounting and characteristics. A first set of coil conductors are electrically connected in series so as to define a first helical coil. A second set of coil conductors are also electrically connected in series so as to define a second helical coil. Capacitor electrodes are disposed such that they face each other with an insulating sheet disposed between the capacitor electrodes thereby forming a capacitor. The capacitor electrode at the ground side has a substantially cross shape and four ends of the substantially cross-shaped capacitor electrode are exposed at four respective sides of the insulating sheet. The insulating sheets are stacked on one another and fired so as to define a single unitary laminated block. Input/output electrodes are provided on the two respective ends of the laminated block and an external ground electrode is formed, at the center of the four side surfaces, in the shape of a band extending along a circumference of the laminated block. The four ends of the capacitor ground electrode are electrically connected, at the four side surfaces of the laminated block, to the external ground electrode.

    摘要: In a method of diagnosing the fatigue life of structural steelwork according to the present invention, a Barkhausen noise measurement is performed under the condition of 5 .mu.m.ltoreq.d.ltoreq.1 mm where d is the detection depth of Barkhausen noise, by using a magnetic head constituted by an air-core coil detection head and a magnetic excitation head obtained by winding a copper wire such as an enameled wire on a U-shaped core made of a soft magnetic material such as a silicon steel sheet or an amorphous magnetic material. The degree of fatigue damage of a target measurement portion is diagnosed using the root-mean-square (RMS) voltage or voltage amplitude value of the Barkhausen noise. According to this method, the degree of fatigue and degradation by stress and strain in the structural steelwork can be accurately diagnosed prior to development of cracking without any limitation on diagnostic locations. A member of steelwork having a life diagnostic function is obtained by mounting the above magnetic head on a brace- or wall-like vibration-damping device made of very low-yield steel. According to this member of steelwork, the wall or covering material of a bridge or the like need not be removed even in practicing a fatigue life diagnosis. The degree of fatigue degradation in structural steelwork can be easily and accurately diagnosed prior to development of cracking even in a location where an operator cannot access due to the structural limitation.
