摘要: An oil-cooled type screw rotor assembly having a female rotor and a male rotor adapted to rotate around parallel axes in meshing relation to each other. The leading side flank of the female rotor is constituted by a first leading side flank formed by an arc of a radius R.sub.1 and a second leading side flank formed by an arc of a radius R.sub.2. Also, the trailing side flank of the female rotor is constituted by a first trailing side flank formed by an arc of the tooth ends of the male rotor having a radius R.sub.5 and a second trailing side flank formed by an arc of a radius R.sub.3 which is smaller than the radius R.sub.2 of the second leading side flank. The configuration of the teeth of the male rotor is materially formed by arcs of the leading and trailing side flanks of the female rotor.

摘要: A large aperture wide-angle photographic lens system is composed of ten lenses grouped in eight lens components. In order from the object side to the image side, the first lens is a positive lens, and the second and third lenses are negative meniscus lenses having their surfaces of higher curvature facing the image side. The fourth and fifth lenses form a cemented doublet, the fourth lens being a positive lens and the fifth lens being a negative lens. The sixth and seventh lenses also form a cemented doublet with the sixth lens and the seventh lens being positive and negative lenses, respectively. Both doublets are cemented at the surfaces of highest curvature. Each of the eight, ninth and tenth lenses are positive lenses.

摘要: A manufacturing method of a semiconductor device including an electrode having low contact resistivity to a nitride semiconductor is provided. The manufacturing method includes a carbon containing layer forming step of forming a carbon containing layer containing carbon on a nitride semiconductor layer, and a titanium containing layer forming step of forming a titanium containing layer containing titanium on the carbon containing layer. A complete solid solution Ti (C, N) layer of TiN and TiC is formed between the titanium containing layer and the nitride semiconductor layer. As a result, the titanium containing layer comes to be in ohmic contact with the nitride semiconductor layer throughout the border therebetween.

摘要: A current to be applied to a ground is defined as the sum of two sinusoidal waves having first and second frequency components. A signal to be used at the time of synchronous detection is defined as a difference between the sinusoidal waves having the first and second frequency components. As a result, a substance in the ground, and the position and depth of the substance can be specified with high accuracy.

摘要: First, the overall quantity of bubbles in a coating liquid is reduced in advance by vacuum deaeration performed in conjunction with preparation of the coating liquid in a stirring tank in a first step, then bubbles of relatively large sizes, of bubbles that have not been removed in the first step are removed by a tank type deaeration device with ultrasonic waves in a floatation tank in a second step, and finally bubbles of very small to small sizes that are difficult to remove in the first and second steps are dissolved in the liquid under pressure with ultrasonic waves and thereby removed in a pipeline in a third step. According to this, bubbles in the coating liquid can reliably be removed irrespective of the nature of the coating liquid, a large amount of coating liquid can be treated, and the possibility that the quality of the deaerated coating liquid is adversely affected is eliminated.

摘要: A honeycomb body, which is composed in such a manner that a strip of corrugated foil made of heat-resistant stainless steel containing aluminum and a strip of flat foil made of stainless steel are alternately wound or laminated on each other, is incorporated into an outer cylinder made of metal and integrated into one body by means of diffusion bonding, so that a diffusion bonded metallic catalyst carrier can be formed. Surface roughness of the strip of foil after the completion of diffusion bonding is 0.001 to 2.0 &mgr;m when it is expressed by center line average height Ra, and no sintered bridges are formed at both end portions of the diffusion bonded section in the longitudinal direction. The catalyst carrier is manufactured in a condition so that &lgr;b, which is defined by &lgr;b=6.8×10−12×&dgr;f−1×F1/2×Ra−1/2×T1/4×exp(15000/T)×b1/2, can be in a range from 8 to 20 where thickness of the strip of foil is &dgr;f (m), average roughness of the foil surface is Ra (m), back tension in the case of winding is F (kgf), contact width of the piece of flat foil with the piece of corrugated foil is b (m), heat treatment temperature is T (K), and degree of vacuum is Pout (Pa), under the condition that 7.52×109×exp(−35000/T)≧8×Pout.
