    Abstract: A wireless communication apparatus according to an embodiment includes: a communicating unit that performs one selected from between a first download process that downloads data through a wireless communication by dividing the data into sections while using a plurality of threads and a second download process that downloads the data while using a single thread; a measuring unit that measures communication quality of the wireless communication; a judging unit that, when a deterioration in the communication quality is measured during the first download process, judges whether or not it is possible to complete the download in all of the plurality of threads before a timeout; and a controlling unit that, when it is determined to be impossible to complete the download in all of the plurality of threads before the timeout, switches the first download process into the second download process.

    Abstract: A wireless communication system includes a plurality of wireless stations including a first wireless station, a second wireless station, and a third wireless station. The wireless communication system further includes a first controller that obtains a transmission timing at which the third wireless station transmits first notification information to the second wireless station, the first notification information indicating that the third wireless station is to communicate with the second wireless station; and a first communicator that transmits second notification information to the second wireless station at the obtained transmission timing, the second notification information indicating that the first wireless station is to directly communicate with the second wireless station.

    Abstract: A method may include detecting multiple system-information block (SIB) blocks and associated content. The associated content may be stored. The method may further include detecting multiple change flags associated with the multiple SIB blocks, each of the multiple change flags associated with one of the multiple SIB blocks. In response to detecting a change flag having a first change flag value, content of the SIB block associated with the first change flag may be reused. The first change flag value may represent an absence of a change to the content of the SIB block associated with the first change flag. In response to detecting the change flag having a second change flag value, the SIB block associated with the second change flag may be detected and the associated content stored. The second change flag value may represent a change to the content of the associated SIB blocks.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a cell discovery and measurement method, a base station and UE. The cell discovery and measurement method includes: a cell base station transmits a discovery signal enabling the cell to be discovered by a UE, and enables the UE to achieve synchronization with the cell base station; and transmits a measurement signal after transmitting the discovery signal. Through the embodiments of the present disclosure, the time for transmitting the discovery signal for a single time can be made as short as possible, an interval between two times of transmitting the discovery signals can be made as long as possible, and the measurement signal is only transmitted in need, thereby making the cell as energy-saving as possible; and the UE can accurately perform RRM measurement by measuring the signal, thereby increasing precision of the RRM measurement.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and apparatus for transmitting a D2D discovery signal and a communication system. The method for transmitting includes: a UE selects a part of resources from a resource pool for transmitting a D2D discovery signal; the part of resources are selected in a manner of limiting number of times of transmission, or in a manner of limiting time interval, or in a manner of calculating a resource position; and transmits the D2D discovery signal by using the selected part of resources. With the embodiments of the present disclosure, malignant competitions may be avoided, resource utilization may be improved, and probabilities of undiscovery between UEs may be lowered; or detection may performed accurately, and complexity of a UE may be lowered.
