Abstract: The present disclosure provides a photopolymerizable composition. The photopolymerizable composition includes at least one polypropylene oxide component and an initiator, plus optionally a urethane component, a multifunctional reactive diluent, and/or an inhibitor. The present disclosure also provides an article including the reaction product of the photopolymerizable composition. Typically, the article exhibits an elongation at break of 30% or greater. Further, the present disclosure provides a method of making an article. The method includes (i) providing a photopolymerizable composition and (ii) selectively curing the photopolymerizable composition to form an article. The method optionally also includes (iii) curing unpolymerized polypropylene oxide component, urethane component and/or multifunctional reactive diluent remaining after step (ii). Further, methods are provided, including receiving, by a manufacturing device having one or more processors, a digital object comprising data specifying an article; and generating, with the manufacturing device by an additive manufacturing process, the article based on the digital object. A system is also provided, including a display that displays a 3D model of an article; and one or more processors that, in response to the 3D model selected by a user, cause a 3D printer to create a physical object of an article.

Abstract: Techniques are described for automating the design of dental restoration appliances using machine learning models. An example computing device receives transform information associated with a current dental anatomy of a dental restoration patient, provides the transform information associated with the current dental anatomy of the dental restoration patient as input to a machine learning model trained with transform information indicating placement of a dental appliance component with respect to one or more teeth of corresponding dental anatomies, the dental appliance being used for dental restoration treatment for the one or more teeth, and executes the machine learning model using the input to produce placement information for the dental appliance component with respect to the current dental anatomy of the dental restoration patient.

Abstract: A reduced pressure dressing for applying reduced pressure treatment to a tissue site includes an interface layer adapted to be positioned at the tissue site. An absorbent layer is in fluid communication with the interface layer to absorb liquid from at least one of the interface layer and the tissue site. A pump is in fluid communication with the absorbent layer to deliver a reduced pressure to the tissue site. A cover is positioned over the pump, the absorbent layer, and the interface layer to maintain the reduced pressure at the tissue site, and a liquid-air separator is positioned between the absorbent layer and the pump to inhibit liquid from entering the pump.

Abstract: A wound therapy system includes a canister configured to contain fluid removed from a wound site, a primary conduit having a first end coupled to the canister and a second end coupled to the wound site, and a pump fluidly coupled to the wound site via the primary conduit. The pump is configured to apply negative pressure to the wound site via the primary conduit. The system includes a pressure indicator configured to indicate a negative pressure at the pressure indicator and a secondary conduit having a first end coupled to the pressure indicator and a second end coupled to the wound site such that the negative pressure at the wound site is fluidly transmitted to the pressure indicator via the secondary conduit. A blockage in the primary conduit causes the negative pressure indicated by the pressure indicator to differ from the negative pressure applied by the pump.

Abstract: A syringe assembly being assembled from a syringe for dispensing a dental or medical substance, and a protective cover. The protective cover has a geometrically determined, non-foldable tubular protective shaft. The syringe has a cartridge having an outlet for the substance. Further, the cartridge and the protective cover are assembled with the cartridge being received within the protective shaft. The syringe further comprises a dispensing tip that is connected to the outlet for dispensing the substance from the dispensing tip. A first seal is provided between the dispensing tip and the outlet, and a second seal is provided between the dispensing tip and the protective shaft.

Abstract: A method of making a transfer apparatus includes providing a physical mockup having a shape that corresponds to a positive shape of a patient's dental arch and one or more carrier assemblies that each include a crane body releasably connected to an orthodontic appliance. A transfer apparatus may be formed over the physical mockup, with the transfer tray representing a negative replica of at least a portion of the mockup. The transfer apparatus may be used to seat the appliance on a patient's dental arch, after which point the appliance can be separated from the crane body and bonded to the associated tooth.
