Abstract:
A method of treating cardiovascular disease in a patient includes generating, by an implantable stimulator configured to be implanted beneath a skin surface of the patient, stimulation sessions at a duty cycle that is less than 0.05 and applying, by the implantable stimulator in accordance with the duty cycle, the stimulation sessions to a tissue location associated with the cardiovascular disease. The duty cycle is a ratio of T3 to T4. Each stimulation session included in the stimulation sessions has a duration of T3 minutes and occurs at a rate of once every T4 minutes. The implantable stimulator is powered by a primary battery located within the implantable stimulator and having an internal impedance greater than 5 ohms.
Abstract:
A medical transporter and methods of use thereof by medical patients and other persons needing assistance for walking and/or moving about. The medical transporter includes a frame that surrounds a person and allows for protection of a person and for stability of the person during transport of the patient. The medical transporter includes a stand for mounting an IV bag. In preferred embodiments, a removable seat, foldable tray and basket are provided.
Abstract:
A hot tub manifold that has been engineered with a plurality of “teeth-like” raised sections inside the inner diameter of the manifold. As the water travels through the manifold while the hot tub pumps are operating, it travels across the surface of the “raised” sections creating friction. That friction energy created is thus transferred to the water in the form of heat—which in turn raises the temperature of the water to the desired set level on the thermostat on the hot tub. Passing the water (generally at high speed) over the raised teeth creates “free” heat and lowers the amount of time and energy required by the hot tub's element heater to elevate the water to the given temperature.

Abstract:
An Implantable ElectroAcupuncture Device (IEAD) treats cardiovascular disease through application of stimulation pulses applied at at least one of acupoints EX-HN1, BL14, HT7, HT5, PC6, ST36, LI11, LU7, and LU2. The IEAD comprises an implantable, coin-sized, self-contained, leadless electroacupuncture device having at least two electrodes attached to an outside surface of its housing. The device generates stimulation pulses in accordance with a specified stimulation regimen. Power management circuitry within the device allows a primary battery, having a high internal impedance, to be used to power the device. The stimulation regimen generates stimulation pulses during a stimulation session of duration T3 minutes applied every T4 minutes. The duty cycle, or ratio T3/T4 is very low, no greater than 0.05. The low duty cycle and careful power management allow the IEAD to perform its intended function for several years.
Abstract:
A sexual aid device comprising a main body (100) and a cervical void (110), sized and shaped to shield a cervix (350) during intercourse. This self-retaining device comprises a means to prevent a penis from colliding with the cervix (350), a means to shield the anterior vagina wall from frictional contact during sexual intercourse and at least one means to retain the sexual aid device within the vagina. This device provides a non-surgical, cost-effective solution to allow for more comfortable deeper penetration by guiding the penis away from the cervix.
Abstract:
A device and method for providing therapeutic pressure to one or more locations on a user's hand, the device comprising a top portion and bottom portion, each of the top and bottom portion terminating on a front end in a pressure point surface and each of the top and bottom portion terminating on a rear end in a handle portion.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to devices and systems related to a modular leg component for a mobility walker. Namely, a device including a leg component that includes a first surface and a second surface is described. The first surface and the second surface may be constructed from materials with a different hardness from one another. The surfaces are configured to be movable relative one another. For example, at least one of the first surface or the second surface is rotatable about an axis such that in a first configuration the first surface is arranged to contact a ground surface and in a second configuration the second surface is arranged to contact the ground surface.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a sex toy with a small/micro water pump enclose in one casing to pump water through to small stream or streams of water spray where the stream(s) can be moved by hand to point at erogenous areas and stream(s) can be position stationary to stay focus on the part of erogenous area of the body wanting stimulated. The small stream or streams of water spray can be positioned to point at erogenous areas of a person in different positions whether lying down, kneeling, squatting or standing. In lying down, kneeling, or squatting position it would be possible for average person with moderate flexibility and dexterity to move the stream(s) by hand around the erogenous area pointed at while being stimulated by stream(s) of water instead of just using a stationary stream(s) position(s). Another casing holds the battery compartment and on/off switch for powering and turning on and off. There is a long enough electrical wire running from each casing to allow user to turn on and off easier from body position. The configuration of the sex toy makes it easier to allow body to be in different positions while being stimulated. The smaller stream or streams of water spray provide a very pleasing size and strength and stream strength may be adjusted by user further by manual valves. There may also be adjustable spray nozzles at the end of water spray stream to provide different stimulating effects by the way they spray.
Abstract:
The counter-balancing gyroscopic walker is adapted for use with a patient. The counter-balancing gyroscopic walker is a mobility assistance device used by the patient. The counter-balancing gyroscopic walker forms a cart used by the patient for walking. The counter-balancing gyroscopic walker incorporates a housing structure, a plurality of inertial structures, and a control circuit. The plurality of inertial structures and the control circuit install in the housing structure. The housing structure is a physical supporting structure that that assists the mobility of the patient. The control circuit provides controls the operation of the plurality of inertial structures. The control circuit provides electrical energy required for the operation of the plurality of inertial structures. The plurality of inertial structures forms a gyroscopic system that tends to resists tilt of the counter-balancing gyroscopic walker from a set position relative to the force of gravity.
