    摘要： A flat sheet membrane module is provided and includes a pair of laterally spaced membrane compartments formed therein for receiving and holding two sets of flat sheet membranes. A utility compartment is disposed between the membrane compartments and includes an air conduit for directing air downwardly through the module to air dispersers forming a part of the module or to a separate lower disposed module. Optionally, a permeate conduit may be provided in the utility compartment for channeling permeate from a lower disposed module. A support structure is disposed in each membrane compartment for receiving and holding a set of flat sheet membranes. The support structure includes a pair of plates that sandwich a set of flat sheet membranes together such that the flat sheet membranes of the set are disposed in a side-by-side relationship between the two end plates.

The filtration apparatus includes the hollow fiber membranes folded double; a treated liquid collection means communicated with an open-side end of each of the hollow fiber membranes; a holding member for holding a bent portion at an other-end side of each of the hollow fiber membranes with a gap formed between the bent portion of each of the hollow fiber membranes and the holding member; and a gas-jetting means for jetting a cleaning gas from the other-end side of each of the hollow fiber membranes to the open-side end of each of the hollow fiber membranes. A gap for flowing the gas jetted by the gas-jetting means is formed between the hollow fiber membranes held by the holding member and the holding member or/and on at least one part of gaps between the hollow fiber membranes.

The hollow fiber membrane module is formed in such a manner that the end parts of sheet-form hollow fiber membranes are formed in a substantially rectangular shape and the end face of the anchoring member on a side where the hollow fiber membranes open is formed in a substantially circular shape. The hollow fiber membrane module unit is formed in such a manner that a plurality of modules is disposed. The water treatment method is used to purify treated water with the microorganisms adhered onto the outer surfaces of the hollow fiber membranes by using the module or the unit.
