Abstract:
Conveying systems and method for detecting the presence of static electric charge on a conveyor. The conveyor system includes a conveyor with an outer conveying surface. Embedded or external static-electricity sensors make measurements of static electricity on the belt's conveying surface. A controller uses the measurements to control the level of electric charges on the belt by transferring charge to or from the belt.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a mower having a removable mower deck, and a removable attachment which includes a hopper and conveyor assembly for discharging particulate material from the hopper. The attachment and mower deck may be mounted on the frame of the unit together or separately. The attachment may be configured for rapid mounting and dismounting on the frame of the mower.
Abstract:
A belt unit is provided with an endless belt, a driving roller, and a pair of guide ribs. The driving roller is disposed on an inner peripheral surface side of the endless belt and drives the endless belt. The pair of guide ribs is placed on each opposite widthwise end of the inner peripheral surface of the endless belt and contacts both end faces of the driving roller, thus preventing meandering of the endless belt. Additionally, the driving roller is equipped with a low friction region at both opposite lengthwise ends in a predetermined width and the low friction region is configured to have a friction coefficient that is lower than a friction coefficient of a region adjacent to the low friction region.
Abstract:
Detachable tab (3, 20, 30)for a modular belt link, characterised in that the tab has upper (11, 12, 13) and lower (14, 15, 16) body portions, wherein:—the upper body portion (11, 12, 13) is suitable to be arranged in a modular conveyor belt module, where said upper body portion (11, 12, 13) comprises a U-shaped section, having two substantially parallel flanges (11, 12), upstanding from a bridge member (13), where the flanges (11, 12) each has a distal end terminating the flange away from the flange's connection to the bridge member (13), and an inner side surface facing the other flange and an outer side surface facing away from the flanges, and where—the lower body portion comprises three distinct sections (14, 15, 16):—a first section (14) connecting a second section to the bridge member (13) of the upper body portion, where said—a second section (15) projecting in a direction opposite and parallel to the flanges of the upper body portion, and a—third section (16) arranged substantially perpendicular to said second section (15).
Abstract:
An article conveyer belt assembly used for example, in a coin sorting device for positively pushing an article, such as a coin along a support surface is provided. A toothed belt has teeth for transmission of power by mounting a plurality of pushers on the belt with a connector removably mounted with a connecting body, a first holder and a second holder spaced a distance from each other to hold onto the conveyor belt. One of the first and second holders has a hook member to close a spaced opening at one end. The first and second holders are cantilevered to be mounted on a conveyor belt. At the other end of the connector body a pusher unit has a first shaft part and a second shaft part cantilevered from the connector body, with a hollow roller snap fitted on the first shaft part and the second shaft part.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a carrier tape having pockets for carrying electronic components. The carrier tape includes a longitudinally extending elevated central portion having a plurality of pockets formed therein and two side portions, each side portion disposed on opposite sides of the elevated central portion and extending longitudinally therewith, wherein each side portion is attached to the elevated central portion by an inclined portion such that the central portion is higher than the side portions when disposed in a flat configuration.
Abstract:
A conveyor including a side-flexing belt having a plurality of modules and a plurality of rods. Each module includes a central portion having a main region extending in a straight path, a plurality of front links each including a front aperture, a plurality of rear links each including a rear aperture, a plurality of front gaps between adjacent pairs of front links, and a plurality of rear gaps between adjacent pairs of rear links. A length of each front gap is substantially the same along substantially the entire thickness of an adjacent front link, and a length of each rear gap is substantially the same along the entire thickness of an adjacent rear link.
Abstract:
Viscoelastic dampers and belt conveyor systems using viscoelastic dampers to attenuate belt vibration and methods for damping belt speed variations. One version of the viscoelastic dampers includes a low-friction carryway element mounted to a viscoelastic pad that is firmly attached to stationary conveyor framework at various locations along the length and width of the conveyor system. Speed fluctuations of the conveyor belt supported on and advancing along the low-friction carryway elements are damped by the viscoelastic dampers. In some versions, magnetic forces are used to clamp the conveyor belt to the dampers to increase the effective damping.
Abstract:
A self-supporting platform is formed of a plurality of hingedly connected modules. Adjacent modules may bend inwards against each other but resist flexing in the opposite direction. Each module includes a slotted module connector extending below the module body. The slotted module connector engages a peg to allow one-way bending of the modules relative to each other.
Abstract:
A high temperature conveyor belt is provided having a non-metallic conveying surface which will not scratch, abrade or otherwise mar the surface of a product being carried on the belt through a furnace and which will not contaminate the product. In one embodiment, the conveyor comprises a high temperature fabric belt attached to a metal belt which may be a conventional woven metal conveyor belt. In another embodiment, the conveyor is composed of a non-metallic high temperature strand which is woven or threaded through a metal belt to provide a non-metallic conveying surface. In a further embodiment, the non-metallic product support elements are coupled to roller chains at each side of the furnace chamber and which are cooperative with a drive mechanism to transport the conveyor through the furnace. The roller chains can be located outside of the furnace chamber to avoid exposure to the high temperature of the furnace chamber.
