摘要: The invention relates to a method for air texturizing or air entangling a metal or metal-containing monofilament yarn (7) with a multifilament yarn (2) to give a novel multifilament-metal monofilament hybrid yarn (9). The monofilament yarn (7) used may, for example, be a full-metal thread, a metal-coated chemical fiber or a metal wire strand. It is supplied to the air texturizing nozzle (5) as the stationary thread and/or the fancy yarn together with the multifilament yarn (2) and is texturized according to the invention. However, a plurality of differently textured monofilament yarns (2) can also be used. The multifilament yarn (2) or additional monofilament yarns (7) may consist of natural or synthetic continuous fibers. According to the invention, an adequately textile, twist-free, easily processible, very long-wearing and at the same time electroconductive hybrid yarn (9) is obtained. The main field of application is the further processing to electromagnetically shielding textile fabrics for electrostatic and/or electromagnetic shields for the protection of human beings and technical devices. Further embodiments relate to the production of abrasion-resistant textile fabrics for the automatic vehicle industry, of resistance heatable textile fabrics for the interior of homes or for passenger compartments of vehicles, and for shielding, anti-electrostatic, heatable and/or garments or textile products equipped with sensors.

摘要: A yarn, especially a sewing yarn, comprises at least two multifile yarn components. The first yarn component forms mainly the core of the yarn and the second yarn component forms mainly the jacket of the yarn. The two yarn components are intermingled with one another. The monofilaments of the second yarn component have a specific strength which amounts to between 5% and 70%, especially between 10% and 50%, of the specific strength of the monofilaments of the first yarn component.

摘要: There are described two-component loop yarns composed of core and effect filaments made of synthetic polymers, having a final tenacity of at least 30 cN/tex and a final linear density of less than 200 dtex and wherein the core and effect filaments each have a total linear density of in each case of less than 100 dtex. The yarns described are preferably useful as sewing yarns. They are obtainable by a process comprising the measures:a) feeding two or more feed yarn strands made of synthetic polymers at different speeds into a texturing jet, said feed yarn strands each having a total linear density of less than 100 dtex,b) intermingling the feed yarn strands in the texturing jet under conditions to form a yarn consisting of core and effect filaments and having loops formed chiefly of effect filaments on its surface,c) withdrawing this primary two-component loop yarn under tension so that, through reduction in the loop size, said primary yarn becomes mechanically stabilized,d) heating the stabilized primary yarn to set the yarn structure, ande) choosing the total linear densities of the feed yarn strands, the difference in the transport speeds of the feed yarn strands and the intermingling, mechanical stabilization and setting conditions in such a way as to produce a two-component loop yarn having a final linear density of less than 200 dtex.

摘要: There is described an intermingled multifilament yarn comprising high modulus monofilaments made for example of aramid, carbon or glass and a process for producing this yarn. Conventional air intermingling is impracticable for high modulus yarns since they tend to break, because of their brittleness, which leads in particular to an appreciable reduction in the tenacity. The invention proposes carrying out the intermingling at elevated temperature--either by preheating the yarn or by heating the intermingling air. It is found, surprisingly, that, although the entanglement spacings are relatively low, the tenacity remains substantially unaffected and in some instances is even raised. The multifilament yarn produced by this process is noteworthy in particular for the low number of broken monofilament ends. The invention can also be applied to commingled yarns, yarns which are part high modulus filaments and part thermoplastic filaments.

摘要: A non-twisted, heather yarn is formed of a plurality of major yarn bundles at least one of which is of a substantially different color from the remaining bundles. Each major yarn bundle is formed of a multiplicity of continuous filaments and has from about 10 to about 90 percent of its filaments cohering to form secondary bundles with the remaining filaments of each major bundle varying in number along the length of the yarn, being interlaced with other major bundles of the yarn, and being randomly located about the yarn axis. Each of the secondary bundles in each unit length of the yarn of about 6 inches has a portion thereof formed of greater than about 30 percent of the filaments of its major bundle and each of the secondary bundles in each unit length of yarn of about 8 inches is non-uniformly, differently oriented relative to the yarn axis.
