Abstract:
Hardware attaching means is disclosed in the form of a support assembly for attaching hardware to a panel structure. The assembly includes one or more doubler plates adhered to the exterior of the panel structure to distribute hanging and service forces thereto. Spacer means is provided in the assembly to prevent excessive compression and bearing stress of the panel structure when the assembly is held in supporting relationship therewith.
Abstract:
A cargo container door construction is disclosed. The construction utilizes a relatively thin sheet metal door skin having a plurality of formed-in longitudinally extending stiffener grooves, with the door edge parallel to the grooves being formed into stiffener edges comprising a lip with a recess on its inner side. One such edge supports hinges which connect with a surrounding frame of a cargo container. The two remaining edges of each door lying perpendicular to the grooves, are each stiffened by an elongated bar and plate which are welded continuously to the edge of the skin and which form closed end walls on the grooves. The bar and plate establish edges which are similar to the lip and recess formed edges and the sides of the door, so that a uniform peripheral edge results. The lip and recess at each edge seat a gasket for sealing the door or pair of doors with a cargo container frame. Longitudinally-extending locking bars, which engage with the container frame, are mounted near the stiffener grooves to withstand closure stresses.
Abstract:
A package delivery system for enhanced delivery receivals including a door access panel, a first housing, a controller, a wireless communication interface, a delivery handling device, a second housing, and a transfer device. The door access panel may accept delivery of packages via a passageway that may be formed in a door. The first housing may be attached to the door access panel. The first housing may be in communication with the passageway to house packages delivered through the door access panel. The controller may selectively move the door between the opened position and the closed position. The delivery handling device may be moveable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. The second housing may be carried by the delivery handling device to receive a package from the first housing. The transfer device may move the package from the first housing to the second housing.
Abstract:
A hinge, a freight container that includes the hinge and a freight container that includes a locking rod and optionally the hinge. The hinge includes a locking pin, a first wing, a second wing and a first hinge pin that pivotally connects the first wing to the second wing. The hinge further includes a pair of hinge lugs each having openings through which a second hinge pin passes and at least one of the pair of hinge lugs having openings through which a locking pin reversibly travels. The locking rod includes a cam that can move between a first predetermined position where the cam can engage the cam keeper and a second predetermined position where the cam is disengaged from the cam keeper and can travel past the end frame of the freight container and the cam keeper as the door travels into the volume of the freight container.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a hinge, a freight container that includes the hinge and a freight container that includes a locking rod and optionally the hinge. The hinge includes a locking pin, a first wing, a second wing and a first hinge pin that pivotally connects the first wing to the second wing. The hinge further includes a pair of hinge lugs each having a first set of surfaces defining openings through which a second hinge pin passes and at least one of the pair of hinge lugs having a surface defining an opening through which a locking pin reversibly travels. The locking rod is mounted to the door of the freight container, where the locking rod includes a cam that can move between a first predetermined position where the cam can engage the cam keeper and a second predetermined position where the cam is disengaged from the cam keeper and can travel past the end frame of the freight container and the cam keeper as the door travels into the volume of the freight container.
Abstract:
A pre-stressed concrete storage apparatus includes a plurality of panels secured together to form a hollow interior space for storing items. An outer door panel is selectively movable for restricting access to the interior of the apparatus. A secondary metal door and cage assembly is located behind the primary outer door panel for further restricting access to the interior of the storage apparatus. A pulley system is provided for mechanically lifting and lowering the outer door panel.
Abstract:
A collapsible container includes a base, a top, and opposed side covers arranged between the base and the top. The side covers have a lower section frame pivotally connected to the base and a top section frame pivotally connected to the top, and a central hinge arrangement configured so that the top section frame is pivotally movable relative to the lower section frame. The side covers can thus be selectively positioned between an erected position and a collapsed position. In the erected position, the container presents an interior space. End covers are arranged to be pivotally movable between an upright position for covering respective open ends, and a down position for allowing the side covers to be movable to the collapsed position.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method using a module kit to construct a safety container of an arbitrary shape, a module set used to carry out the method and a safety container including one or several of the modules.
