    摘要: A window molding for a vehicle is provided which comprises a synthetic resin body member which has a center portion, a first end portion at one end of the center portion and a second end portion at the other end of the center portion. A metal foil is bonded to the body member and covers the center portion of the body member and at least a part of the first and second end portions. A soft plastic protective layer is bonded to the metal foil only on the portion of the metal foil which covers the first and second end portions of the body member. The protective layer covers at least a portion of the metal foil which covers part of the first and second end portions of the body member. The protective layer is adapted for forming a protective layer between the metal foil and the body of the vehicle at the first end portion of the body member and between the metal foil and the window of the vehicle at the second end portion of the body member. When the vehicle body is non-metallic, the protective layer between the metal foil and vehicle body may be eliminated.

    摘要: A water-drainable gasket for use between a panel and a frame includes a continuous channel-shaped body having a pair of spaced sidewalls and a bottom wall. A plurality of pairs of transversely spaced water draining holes extend through the bottom, each pair of the holes being transversely aligned with each other. The pairs of the holes are spaced at an interval along the length of the continuous gasket. The holes in each pair are located adjacent to or extend partly through the sidewalls. Further, the holes extend perpendicularly to the bottom or at an angle to each other and to the sidewalls.

    摘要: A composite joint sealing gasket (8) includes an elongated flexible, resilient member (10) typically of an elastomer or polymer, for example, elastomer rubber, thermoplastic elastomer or thermoplastic polymer with memory, for example, EPDM or neoprene, and has opposed elongated upper and lower longitudinal edge portions (18, 16); the upper portion (18) defines a sealing element (40, 42); a tacky sealing composition (12), for example, a mastic composition is supported on an outer surface of the lower portion (16) remote from the sealing element (40, 42). The gasket (8) may be employed in a variety of environments where a seal is required, for example, between wall and ceiling panels, or as a glazing gasket to provide a seal with a window; when employed as a gasket the sealing element provides an outer seal with a window and the mastic composition provides an inner seal between the window and sash; streaking of the mastic composition across the window pane is avoided and the resilient member facilitates installation and provides an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

    摘要: The glazing panel assembled by the method according to the invention includes a frame with webs, supporting blocks and stay blocks, a pane, and sealing strips between the pane and the webs of the frame. According to the method the frame is assembled on the pane using one elastic sealing strip, whereupon the pane is forced against one of the webs, whereby the elastic sealing strip is compressed and the other sealing strip may be fitted freely in place. The force pressing the pane towards the first web is then released, whereby the first sealing strip by transverse expansion forces the pane towards the second web and against the second sealing strip to secure the pane in the frame.
