    摘要: A pressure vessel having a removable closure head in a high radiation environment is closed by placing the closure head having a flange over and spaced from the flange of a pressure vessel body containing fissile material. The closure studs are installed in closure stud holes of the pressure vessel body flange. Transition nut members of hydraulic nut assemblies are threaded onto the closure studs. Hydraulic hoses are connected between the hydraulic nut assemblies and a pressure source. The pressure source simultaneously pressurizes the hydraulic nut assemblies to simultaneously apply a uniform force to the closure studs sufficient to seat the spaced apart closure head flange on the pressure vessel body flange and to elongate the closure studs. The hydraulic nut assemblies are locked in place over the closure head flange while the force is applied to the closure studs and the closure studs are elongated. The hydraulic pressure on the hydraulic nut assemblies is released while the hydraulic nut assemblies are locked in place over the closure head flange and the closure studs are elongated. The hydraulic nut assemblies may remain connected with the hydraulic hoses after the pressure vessel has been returned to on-line operations and is generating thermal power. The hydraulic hoses connected with the hydraulic nut assemblies may be vented while generating thermal power in the pressure vessel.

    摘要: A hydraulic fastener for mounting bearing assemblies on the end of a roll in a rolling mill stand. The fastener includes a hydraulic ring cylinder component having a front face directed toward a roll and an inner cylindrical surface adapted to fit onto a reduced diameter end section of the roll. A chamber extends about the circumference of the cylinder component and is open at the front face. A hydraulic ring piston component is slidably received in this chamber and has an inner face. A retaining ring is threadedly mounted in the cylinder component to hold at least a substantial portion of the piston in the chamber. Passageways are provided in the cylinder component for injecting grease into the chamber and into a space formed between the inner face of the piston and an opposing face of the chamber. A split ring is secured on the end section of the roll to retain the cylinder component in place. Zero-leakage two-directional seals are arranged between the cylinder component and the piston at both radially inner and radially outer sides of the piston to prevent escape of said grease.

    摘要: A tensioning device for extending a threaded bolt by tensioning the threaded end section has a supporting tube surrounding the threaded end section, a cylinder arranged in continuation of the supporting tube and having at least one piston axially movable therein, an exchange socket which is screwable to the threaded end section and is configured such that it can be carried along axially by the piston, and a pin arranged in an axially movable manner in a longitudinal guide in the exchange socket. The pin end is axially supportable against that end of the threaded bolt that has the threaded end section. In order to assess the actually usable thread projection even in cases in which known tensioning devices provide imprecise results, the pin is formed in a radially widened manner at its pin end compared with the pin cross section.

    摘要: A clamping device for expanding a threaded bolt is provided with a support pipe supported against an underlay surrounding the threaded bolt. A cylindrical housing arranged in extension of the support pipe has a piston movable in longitudinal direction and connectable to a hydraulic supply. A changeable bushing is axially carried by the piston and is provided with an inner thread and a radially expanded portion. A resilient arrangement is arranged around the bushing and acts axially on the piston. A lid is secured to the housing. The other support of the resilient arrangement is provided on the lower side of the housing. The lid has a lid base member and a closure lid. The lid base member is provided with an opening closable by the closure lid. The radial extent of the opening is greater than the radial extent of the radially expanded portion of the bushing.
