Abstract: A telecommunication enclosure is described herein wherein the telecommunications enclosure is configured for making an external optical connection. The enclosure includes a base having at least one port having an integral exterior section disposed around the port outside of the enclosure and an optical coupling disposed at least partially within the port. The optical coupling has a first connector housing disposed within the exterior section of the port and a second connector housing disposed within the interior of the telecommunication enclosure. In an exemplary aspect, the optical coupling is secured directly within the port of the telecommunication enclosure.

Abstract: A high-density fiber optic connector configured to operate with a first optical fiber cable, a second optical fiber cable, and a dual fiber optic cable adapter, is provided. The high-density fiber optic connector comprises a two-piece connector housing configured to open and close and form first and second housing through ports, first and second sub-assembly housings, and a push-pull tab. When the two-piece connector housing is opened, the first and second sub-assembly housings can be manually interchanged, such that the first sub-assembly housing is engaged and fixed in the second housing through port and a front end thereof is coupled to a second receiving port of the dual fiber optic cable adapter and the second sub-assembly housing is engaged and fixed in the first housing through port and a front end thereof is coupled to a first receiving port of the dual fiber optic cable adapter.

Abstract: A fiber optic connector and cable assembly is disclosed. The assembly includes a fiber optic connector and a fiber optic cable. The fiber optic cable can be coupled to the assembly at a demarcation section. Abstract: An optical fiber connector includes a housing configured to mate with a receptacle, a collar body that includes a fiber stub and a mechanical splice device, a backbone to retain the collar body within the housing, and a boot. The backbone includes at least one guide channel to facilitate wrapping strength members of an optical fiber cable around the backbone and a cable jacket clamping portion to clamp the cable jacket of the cable. Abstract: A fiber optic connector having a radio frequency identification tag for optically coupling with a mated fiber optic connector, comprising: a housing; a fiber ferrule extending from a first end of the housing; a spring member provided within the housing; a tail sleeve connected at a second end of the housing opposite to the first end to fix an end of an optical cable; and a tag receiving portion formed in a sidewall of the housing, wherein the radio frequency identification tag is received in the tag receiving portion, and wherein the tag receiving portion is separated from the spring member and the tail sleeve in a longitudinal direction of the housing. The RFID tag overlaps with only the non-metal housing and the non-metal protection sleeve in the lateral direction. As a result, it can eliminate the effect of metal materials in the fiber optic connector on the reading performance of the radio frequency identification tag.
