    摘要: An active noise reduction (ANR) circuit includes a digital feed-forward ANR pathway coupled to a feed-forward microphone, to detect environmental sounds in an environment external to a casing, and to a first acoustic driver to output sounds within the casing. The digital feed-forward ANR pathway applies a plurality of filters using a first set of coefficients to convert signals from the feed-forward microphone to feed-forward anti-noise sounds to reduce environmental sounds within the casing. In response to a stimulus, the digital feed-forward ANR pathway applies the plurality of filters using a second set of coefficients, which reduce the degree of feed-forward ANR to enable human speech sounds in the environment external to the casing to be conveyed from the feed-forward microphone to the acoustic driver with less reduction than provided by the first plurality of filters.

    摘要: A method for suppressing the late reverberation of an audio signal. A plurality of prediction vectors are calculated. A plurality of observation vectors from the modulus of the complex time-frequency transform of an input signal is generated. A plurality of synthesis dictionaries from the plurality of observation vectors are constructed. A late reverberation spectrum from the plurality of synthesis dictionaries and the plurality of prediction vectors are estimated. A plurality of observation vectors are filtered to eliminate the late reverberation spectrum and obtain a dereverberated signal modulus.

    摘要: The privacy-preserving energy-efficient speaker implementations described herein improve user privacy while a user is listening to audio and can reduce the energy necessary to output the audio. This can be done by using parametric speakers and/or traditional loud-speakers. Signal splitting and masking can be used to improve user privacy. Additionally, a signal modulation technique which significantly reduces power requirements to output an audio signal, especially in the context of using parametric speakers, can also be employed.
