    Abstract: An electrical connector is disclosed having an elongated conductor housing of non-conducting material with two electrical connector conductors embedded in and extending lengthwise of the housing. Each connector conductor has a socket at one end and a pin at the other. A sleeve of elastic material positioned on the housing so that a portion of the housing extends beyond the sleeve to serve as a male plug and a portion of the sleeve extends beyond the other end of the housing to combine with the housing to form a female plug. The sleeve has an integral elongated boot in the side through which a geophone cable extends. The conductors of the geophone cable are connected to the conductors embedded in the housing of the connector.

    Abstract: A connector assembly comprising a pin connector assembly, a socket connector assembly, and an insulating member. The pin connector assembly comprises a generally cylindrical shape with an outer surface, an inner spring, and mechanically coupled to an electrical cable. The socket connector assembly comprises a generally cylindrical in shape with an inner surface, an outer spring, and mechanically coupled to an electrical cable. The contact surface stress between the pin connector and socket connector can be increased by the inner spring, the outer spring, or both. The contact resistance of the connectors is reduced by the increase in contact surface stress via the spring force. The insulating member can be threadingly coupled to the mated connectors.

    Abstract: A protective casing for a three-way electrical connection comprises a cover and two lower pieces. Each lower piece preferably includes a protruding key and a key slot. The two lower pieces mate with one another with the protruding key of each lower piece engaging the key slot of the other lower piece. The keys and slots generally extend a length of the lower pieces and thus mating the lower pieces together includes engaging the keys and slots and sliding one lower piece along an axis relative to the other lower piece. Preferably, the lower pieces are substantially identical. In contrast to conventional tee connection casings, the lower pieces of the preferred embodiment can be mated together without disconnecting any conductors from the three-way electrical connection. Similarly, the protective casing can be removed and replaced with a new casing without disconnecting any electrical connections.

    Abstract: A termination assembly is disclosed providing a substantially watertight, yet field serviceable interface to a plurality of electrical splices. The termination assembly includes a housing having an anchor portion for receiving and fixing a multi-transmission line cable therein, a ported sleeve for cradling the transmission lines, and a shell for providing field access to the splices between the transmission line in the interior of the housing. A resinous epoxy, together with O-ring seals and heat shrink tubing provide redundant protection against the invasion of water into the housing along the transmission lines.

    Abstract: A cable head connector is provided for coupling a plurality of nested tubes, each one of which conducts a different fluid, to a downhole geophysical tool such as a seismic sound source. The device includes separate clamps for individually gripping the respective nested tubes. Conduits are furnished for fluidly bypassing the respective clamping devices. The fluid bypass conduits are fluidly coupled to a distribution module for delivering the different fluids individually to the downhole geophysical tool. Additional facilities are provided for sending electrical control signals to the tool.
