    摘要: A rigid joint assembly for jointing two cables; the assembly includes outer cable entry parts outside a water-tight casing assembly. A first and second cable insulation system deformation preventing devices are provided, each including a rigid pipe, which surrounds a respective first or second cable core end section, and a bedding material layer, which extends at least partially along a length of an inner surface of the respective rigid pipe. The assembly further includes first and second grooved pipes of elastic material having a plurality of grooves on the side facing the cable, each grooved pipe surrounding the respective first or second cable core end section at a respective inner cable entry part inside the water-tight casing assembly 30.

    摘要: A subsea data transmission cable for providing data communication with a subsea device installed at the ocean floor is provided. The subsea data transmission cable includes a first section including at least one electrical data line and a second section including at least one fiber optic data line. An intermediate conversion assembly is provided. The at least one electrical data line and the at least one fiber optic data line are terminated at the intermediate conversion assembly. A conversion device is disposed in a chamber of the intermediate conversion assembly. The conversion device includes an electrical interface connected to the at least one electrical data line and an optical interface connected to the at least one fiber optic data line. The conversion device is configured to convert an electrical data signal received at the electrical interface to an optical data signal for transmission via the optical interface and vice versa.

    摘要: The present invention generally relates to an inline pressure compensator that compensates for volumetric changes within Field-Assembled Cable Termination (FACT) structures when exposed to high pressures and extreme subsea depths by transferring a pressure compensating fluid into the internal cavity of the FACT. The present invention may comprise a flexible internal component and an outer shell-like component. The inner component may comprise two concentric rings of edge-welded bellows that are joined together and wrapped around inner components of the termination or of the inner portion of the outer component. The inner void in the bellows may be filled with pressure-compensating fluid. The pressure compensating fluid diffuses directly into the fluid-filled cavity of the termination assembly. The exterior component may comprise a housing adapted to protect the interior bellows component and provide for seawater to fill the space around the periphery of the bellows arrangement.

    摘要: An assembly for splicing and repairing an umbilical is provided having two terminal bend restrictors and two strain terminators, here each terminal bend restrictor has at least two interconnected modules, a connecting end, and a free end. The strain terminators have a strain receiving end and a strain providing end, with each of the strain receiving ends is connected to one of the connecting ends of the terminal bend restrictors. The assembly further has an intermediate bend restrictor having at least two interconnected modules and two connecting ends. The two strain terminators are connected at their strain providing ends to separate connecting ends of the intermediate bend restrictor, and the intermediate bend restrictor is dimensioned to withstand tensile strain from the connected strain terminators.
