    摘要: The present invention discloses a dual-band RF transceiver. The transceiver comprises a first module, used as the RF front-end of the dual-band transceiver and used for receiving and transmitting a first RF signal and a second RF signal; a second module, electrically connected to the first module, used as the IF IQ modulator/demodulator of the dual-band RF transceiver; a third module, electrically connected to the first and the second modules, used as the tripe-band phase-locked frequency synthesizer of the dual-band RF transceiver and used for providing a first local oscillating signal and a second local oscillating signal to the first module, and a third local oscillating signal to the second module. The dual-band RF transceiver according to the present invention realizes the dual-band triple-mode operation of IEEE802.11 a/b/g by a single dual-band RF module, and therefore the circuit size, power dissipation, component count, and cost can be dramatically reduced.

    摘要: A multi-band high gain mixer and quadrature signal generator allows a receiver system to receive signals at multiple frequency bands without requiring significant hardware duplication. A single mixer directly receives any of three communication frequency bands such as Universal Mobile Telecommunication System (UMTS), Personal Communication Services (PCS), Digital Communication System (DCS), and Japan and US W-CDMA 800 bands without amplification. A Serial-Parallel Interface selectably forwards RF signals within the receiver's frequency channels to the mixer for demodulation into in-phase (I) and quadrature (Q) signals at a common IF output from the multi-mode receiver. Significant power and cost advantages are attained by elimination of duplicate mixers and amplifier stages.

The wireless communication device comprises first and second programmable frequency dividers, a mixer, a modulator, a phase detector, and a variable controlled oscillator. The first programmable frequency divider divides the frequency of a reference signal by a factor N to generate a modulating signal. The second programmable frequency divider divides the reference signal by a factor M and outputs a frequency-divided signal. The facts N and M are positive integers. The mixer down-converting a transmission signal according the divided signal and outputs a translation-loop signal. The modulator modulates the modulating signal with baseband signals, and outputs a comparison signal. The phase detector detects a phase difference between the comparison signal and the translation-loop signal. The variable controlled oscillator modifies the transmission signals according to an output of the phase detector.

The local oscillation distribution circuitry includes a splitting circuit, a first distribution portion, and a second distribution portion. The splitting circuit receives the local oscillation and produces multiple copies of the local oscillation. The first distribution portion produces a first local oscillation corresponding to a first RF band and a second local oscillation corresponding to a second RF band based and to provide the first local oscillation and the second local oscillation to a first RF transceiver group. The second distribution portion produces a first local oscillation and a second local oscillation and provides the first local oscillation and the second local oscillation to the second RF transceiver group.

Using the T-DMB and DAB low IF receiver allows a removal of a conventional SAW filter and the T-DMB and DAB low IF receiver can be easily integrated in the monolithic semiconductor integrated circuit substrate, and manufactured at low costs.
