Abstract: In a flow system and method, a fluid delivery pipe is connected in series between a fluid distributor and a fluid valve that is connected in series between a fluid source and the fluid distributor. A controller, disposed remote from the fluid delivery pipe, can be programmed or configured to control the fluid value via a communication channel or communication network. A hydrogenerator, powered by fluid running from the fluid source to the fluid distributor, can charge a battery that can power a radio to wirelessly transmit flow data to the controller. The controller can control the open and close states of the fluid valve based on the wirelessly transmitted flow data received by the controller to control an amount of fluid delivered by the fluid delivery pipe, for example, for controlled irrigation of an area to a desired extent.

Abstract: One or more devices, systems, methods and storage mediums for performing medical procedure (e.g., needle guidance, ablation, biopsy, etc.) planning and/or performance, and/or for performing guidance of multiple probes or multiple needles, are provided. Examples of applications for such devices, systems, methods and storage mediums include imaging, evaluating and diagnosing biological objects, such as, but not limited to, lesions and tumors, and such devices, systems, methods and storage mediums may be used for radiotherapy applications (e.g., to determine whether to place seed(s) for radiotherapy). Even in instances where communication between a medical tool or needle guidance device and a system is wireless or wired, preferably guidance information is still gathered and transmitted, especially in instances where wireless or wired communication signals are intermittent or interrupted.

The processor is configured to the execute computer-readable instructions to enable independent operations of a plurality of radio protocol stacks and a plurality of backhaul protocol stacks for performing the base band processing functions of a plurality of base stations, each of the plurality of base stations being configured to serve one or more user devices. The processor is further configured to manage data packet flows between the plurality of radio protocol stacks and the plurality of backhaul protocol stacks.

Abstract: One embodiment is directed to a system in which an end node and a boundary link optimizer node are communicatively coupled to an ETHERNET network. The end node is communicatively coupled to the ETHERNET network using a boundary link that is connected to an edge of the ETHERNET network. The boundary link optimizer node is configured to: receive ETHERNET packets that include data for the plurality of streams of digital samples; extract the data for the plurality of streams from the received ETHERNET packets; bundle the data for the streams of digital samples; and communicate, to the end node over the boundary link, the bundled data for the streams of digital samples in ETHERNET packets.

Abstract: A communications device establishes a communications context for communicating data packets using a packet communications bearer from the communications device via the mobile communications network. A controller of the communications device is configured to identify that the communications device can enter a stasis state because no data packets are available for transmission for a predetermined time via the packet communications bearer or there are no data packets to receive via the packet communications bearer, to transmit a stasis state message to the mobile communications network, and to store information relating to the communications context associated with the packet communications bearer in a data store. The stored information can be used by the controller to re-establish the packet communications bearer to transmit and/or receive data packets using the packet communications bearer, the communications device thereby entering the stasis state.

Abstract: A method and system for detecting an accident of a vehicle, the method including: receiving a movement dataset collected at least at one of a location sensor and a motion sensor arranged within the vehicle, during a time period of movement of the vehicle, extracting a set of movement features associated with at least one of a position, a velocity, and an acceleration characterizing the movement of the vehicle during the time period, detecting a vehicular accident event from processing the set of movement features with an accident detection model, and in response to detecting the vehicular accident event, automatically initiating an accident response action.

Abstract: Embodiments provide a terminal, a base station, a system, and a notification method. The terminal includes: a receiving module, configured to receive a system message broadcasted by a base station, where the system message carries resource configuration information of a dedicated channel, and the dedicated channel is used to transmit application data that is transmitted discontinuously and that has a length less than a preset threshold.
