    摘要: As part of a localized positioning solution, a mobile device may transmit a request message to a server to obtain information about location contexts near the mobile device. In response, the server may, in some implementations, transmit a response message back to the mobile device that identifies a list of nearby LCIs and an area that encompasses these LCIs. The mobile device may store the returned LCI information and the returned area information in corresponding databases for later use. In some implementations, time limits may be placed on the returned area information after which the information is deemed stale.

    摘要: A method of providing a location of a target device to an application implementing a location based service includes receiving a request for a location of the target device from the application at a location server, the request including a location reference having a user reference referring to user information corresponding to the target device and stored in at least one data source. The method further includes retrieving the user information from the at least one data source using the user reference, determining the location of the target device based at least in part on the retrieved user information, and providing the determined location of the target device to the application.

    摘要: A monitor system includes at least one network camera distributed in an area to be monitored, an access point device connected to the at least one network camera. The access point device includes ports, a central processing unit (CPU), and a storage device containing an information table. Each of the ports is connected to the CPU, and the CPU is connected to the storage device. The table records a serial number, a media access control (MAC) address, and an area monitored by each camera in the system, and records an Internet protocol (IP) pool previously assigned to each monitored area. After an IP request from one of the cameras, the CPU searches an associated IP pool in the table according to the MAC address, and randomly assigns an IP address from the IP pool to a corresponding network camera.

    摘要: A system and method for communicating with only a subquantity of mobile receivers operating within a geographic area that the sender wishes to communicate with, particularly for time critical messages. A system for geo-casting messages to at least one receiver within a geographic region is provided. The system includes an input for receiving the message and a circuit coupled to the input. Upon receiving the message, the circuit reads a geographic designator. Then the circuit accesses a geospatial database using the geographic designator whereby the circuit determines which receivers are in the geographic region designated by the geographic designator. From the geospatial database, the circuit also determines addresses for the receivers so that the circuit can individually forward the message to the receivers within the designated geographic region.
