Abstract:
Embodiments herein include a method that begins by receiving a print job for a customer from an intermediary program such as a print driver. The print job comprises instructions to print a document for the customer and includes, for example, data and print characteristics. The method then evaluates the colorspace of each page of the print job to determine whether any multi-color items are included within the print job. The method ignores classifications of the print job as either a multi-color print job (e.g., color print job) or a single color print job (e.g., black and white) from the print driver and, instead, classifies the print job as either a multi-color print job or a single color print job based only on whether the multi-color items are included within the print job. Then, the method provides the billing information for the customer to an appropriate entity that bills the customer.
Abstract:
An electronic camera that generates a still image by photographing a subject, generates image information related to the still image having a data volume smaller than a data volume of the still image and records the still image and the image information, includes: a frame feed reproduction device that sequentially reproduces a plurality of still images recorded in advance; a high-speed frame feed reproduction device that sequentially displays a plurality of sets of image information recorded in advance; and a switching device that selects either the frame feed reproduction device or the high-speed frame feed reproduction device to switch between the frame feed reproduction device and the high-speed frame feed reproduction device.
Abstract:
An image sensing apparatus comprises an image sensor that performs image sensing in response to an inputted image sensing instruction, a recording medium that stores a sensed image, and a controller that controls to record on the recording medium the sensed image in a first format instead of a second format, different from the first format, which is designated in advance when a format change instruction is designated by a user within a predetermined period after sensing the image.
Abstract:
A digital camera capable of enhancing utilization of an image shot in a text shooting mode is provided. An image processing unit converts an image shot in the text shooting mode to a data format appropriate to a transmission destination (a facsimile machine, a personal computer, etc.) selected by a user.
Abstract:
In a digital still camera, when the reproducing mode is selected, an indication to the effect that the operation is in standby for reproduction is displayed on an indicating device, and if the command dial is not operated until 16 seconds elapses after the indication has been started, the supply of source voltage to the various parts of the camera is stopped, to achieve a reduction in power consumption. If the command dial is operated within 16 seconds, image signals are output to an external monitor and also an indication to the effect that reproduction is in progress is displayed on the indicating device. If the command dial has been operated within three minutes after reproduction of a given photographic frame has been started, reproduction of the following frame is performed, but if the command dial has not been operated until the three minutes have elapsed, the indication to the effect that the operation is in standby for reproduction is displayed again. If the sensitivity changeover switch and the command dial are operated together during reproduction or standby for reproduction, the photographic frame to be reproduced is determined in correspondence to the quantity and direction of the rotation of the command dial and the frame number of the frame thus determined is displayed on the indicating device.
Abstract:
An electronic camera having a continuous shooting function includes a resolution conversion unit capable of performing resolution conversion at least at a high resolution and at a low resolution that is lower than the high resolution, an image compression unit capable of performing image compression at least at a low compression factor and at a high compression factor that is higher than the low compression factor, and when a continuous shooting unit executes continuous shooting, the image compression unit performs image compression at a high compression factor if the resolution at the resolution conversion unit is set to a low resolution.
Abstract:
In one aspect, a method related to data management includes but is not limited to accepting input for designation of a first portion of a data stream for retention at a first resolution, wherein the data stream represents video and/or audio information: and accepting input for designation of a second portion of the data stream for retention at a second resolution, wherein the second resolution is less than the first resolution, and wherein the retention of the second portion of the data stream at the second resolution is to be performed if a condition is met. In addition, other method aspects are described in the claims, drawings, and/or text forming a part of the present application. Related systems are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments provide a technique that processes captured images derived from selected targeted objects in a field of view. The captured images may be transferred via a communication link to a storage location for future availability. A possible aspect may provide a cross-reference association between saved multiple exposures having different quality characteristics. In some instances an identifier record is provided to enable future accessibility to selected captured data by one or more authorized parties or approved devices or authorized recipients. In some embodiments the captured data may include both a video data stream and one or more still image frames derived from related fields of view. Stored versions of the captured images may be provided in original or altered form to be incorporated in a composite visual work.
Abstract:
An image reproduction apparatus comprises a reproduction unit for reproducing an image recorded on an image recording medium, a display control unit for displaying, on a display unit such as a monitor display, the image reproduced by the reproduction unit, a renewal unit for renewing the image displayed on the display unit, and a control unit for, in accordance with the number of images recorded on the recording medium and the number of images renewed by the renewal unit, changing the interval at which the renewal unit renews the displayed image.
Abstract:
A technique processes captured data on a device, wherein selected captured data of a given quality resolution is transferred via a communication link to a separate storage location for future availability. A storage protocol may include different storage organization categories. A possible aspect includes an identifier record to enable future accessibility to selected captured data by one or more authorized parties or approved devices or authorized recipients.
