Abstract: The present invention relates to a cutting device comprising a manual gripping element (100) and a cutting assembly (200) that is positioned on one end of the gripping element (100) and comprises a punch (210) split into at least two cutting tips (220, 230), at least one of these tips (220, 230) being hinged on the gripping element (100) in order to be movable between a rest and cutting position in which the tips (220, 230) are adjacent and a working and injection position in which the tips (220, 230) are spaced apart, and urging means (250) designed to move each movable tip (220, 230) into the working position when these urging means (250) press against the skin.

Abstract: The invention is devices and methods to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and associated lower urinary tract symptoms infections (LUTS). The devices are intra-urethral implants placed in a patient in need thereof by minimally invasive procedures, preferably under local anesthesia in an office environment. The devices are sized and designed for atraumatic insertion and expansion within the urethra to engage and retract enlarged prostatic tissue proximate to the urethra that is leading to adverse symptoms associated with BPH. The methods include steps to deploy the implant devices of the invention using a delivery system of the invention and at target prostatic tissue that is visualized during the procedure and yields a reduction in the symptoms of BPH.

Abstract: A microsurgical device and methods of its use can be used for treatment of various conditions including eye diseases, such as glaucoma, using minimally invasive surgical techniques. A dual-blade device can be used for cutting the trabecular meshwork (“TM”) in the eye. The device tip provides entry into the Schlemm's canal via its size (i.e., for example, 0.2-0.3 mm width) and configuration where a ramp elevates the TM away from the outer wall of the Schlemm's canal and guides the TM to first and second lateral elements for creating first and second incisions through the TM. The dimensions and configuration of the blade is such that an entire strip of TM is removed without leaving TM leaflets behind and without causing collateral damage to adjacent tissues.
