摘要: A method of performing a surgical procedure comprises inserting a medical instrument into anatomy of a patient to reach target tissue within an anatomical cavity, disinfecting anatomy within the patient with the medical instrument and performing treatment of the target tissue with the medical instrument. A medical device for providing disinfecting to a surgical site, the medical device comprises an elongate shaft extending from a proximal end to a distal end, an imaging device located proximate the distal end of the elongate shaft, a lighting element located proximate the distal end of the elongate shaft, a working channel extending at least partially through the elongate shaft and a disinfecting system attached to the elongate shaft to deliver a disinfecting capability proximate the distal end of the elongate shaft.

摘要: Disclosed are systems and methods for determining target characteristics during a laser procedure, comprising (i) obtaining a relationship between (i) a number of pixels associated with a light beam reflected from a target or an object located in proximity to the target on an endoscopic image obtained from a video sensor coupled to an endoscope and (ii) a distance of the target from a tip of the endoscope. The method further comprising (ii) measuring the number of pixels associated with the light beam reflected from the target or the object located in proximity to the target during a procedure, and (iii) based at least in part on the relationship obtained in step (i) and the measured number of pixels in step (ii), determining at least one of a size of the target or a distance of the target from the tip of the endoscope.

摘要: A medical device for performing a hysterectomy is provided. The medical device has a tissue incision assembly that includes a first cup nested within a second cup. The tissue incision assembly also includes a spacer assembly between the first cup and the second cup in order to maintain a spacing between the first and second cups. The tissue incision assembly also has a cutting implement that has a portion extending between, and movable with respect to, the first and second cups. The forceps including an inner shaft located within an outer shaft and extending along the longitudinal axis, and a drive bar coupled to and extending distally from the inner shaft. The drive bar including a pair of drive bar struts extending from a distal portion of the inner shaft and positioned laterally inward of at least one of first and second set of flanges of the first and second jaws. A drive pin is securable to the pair of drive bar struts and the drive bar is translatable within the outer shaft to translate the drive pin to move the first jaw and/or the second jaw between open and closed positions.
