    摘要： Disclosed are an inserter and an inserter kit for an intrauterine system. The inserter comprises an insertion tube having a first end and an opposite second end, wherein the first end is operable to removably receive the intrauterine system and a handle having a first end portion and an opposite second end portion, the first end portion of the handle is coupled to the second end of the insertion tube. The handle comprises a handling mechanism for controlling movement of the insertion tube with respect to the intrauterine system. The inserter also comprises an indicating mechanism operatively arranged in connection with the insertion tube and the handle, the indicating mechanism is communicably coupled to the handling mechanism and is operable to provide indicative signals corresponding to operational stages of the inserter. The indicative signals comprise at least one light signal and the indicating mechanism comprises a power source.

    摘要： Devices and methods for removing an intravaginal drug delivery ring are shown and described. In one embodiment, the device is an integral one-piece moisture impermeable structure that includes a closed end finger cot and a substantially rigid hook. Typically, the closed end finger cot includes a finger opening, a compression band, and an expandable sleeve. In some examples, the distal end of the hook is aligned substantially parallel to an axis of the finger cot to properly position the user's finger with the intravaginal drug delivery ring in the vaginal canal. The result is devices and methods to improve removal of intravaginal drug delivery rings and similar contraception prevention units.

    摘要： An inserter for an intrauterine system includes a handle.     摘要： The present invention discloses an Intra Uterine Ball (IUB) device useful for a gynecological procedure or treatment. The aforesaid device comprises a hollow sleeve for at least partial insertion into the uterine cavity; and, an elongate conformable member with at least a portion comprised of shape memory alloy. The elongate member is adapted to be pushed out from said sleeve within said uterine cavity. It is the core of the invention that the elongate member is adapted to conform into a predetermined three dimensional ball-like configuration within said uterine cavity following its emergence from said sleeve, such that expulsion from said uterine cavity, malposition in said uterine cavity, and perforation of the uterine walls is prevented.
