    Abstract: A reactor for producing a synthesis gas from a fuel, with a housing (2) with a combustion part accommodating a first fluidized bed in operation, a riser (3) extending along a longitudinal direction of the reactor (1) and accommodating a second fluidized bed in operation, a down-comer (4) positioned parallel to the riser and extending into the first fluidized bed, and one or more feed channels (33) for providing the fuel to the reactor (1). The reactor (1) further has a riser air chamber section (B) connected to a lower part of the riser (3), the riser air chamber section (B) comprising a cylindrical wall (28) with a plurality of circumferentially located holes (24, 25).

    Abstract: A method of autothermal oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) utilizes introducing a methane-containing feedstock and an oxygen-gas-containing feedstock into a reactor (10) as a flowing mixture (18) with a space time of 500 ms or less. The reactor (10) contains a catalyst bed (20) of an OCM catalyst that contacts the flowing mixture and wherein the catalyst bed (20) has a heat Peclet number (Peh) of from 5 or less, a mass Peclet number (Pem) of from 5 or more, and a transverse Peclet number (P) of from 1 or less while contacting the flowing mixture. The methane and oxygen of the feedstocks are allowed to react within the reactor (10) to form methane oxidative coupling reaction products. A reactor (10) for carrying out the OCM reaction is also disclosed.

    Abstract: A process for endothermic dehydrogenation including contacting a catalyst material in a moving bed reactor having at least one reaction zone, the moving bed reactor comprising a heat exchanger containing a heating medium, wherein the catalyst material and the heating medium do not contact one another, and wherein at least 50% of the delta enthalpy of the at least one reaction zone is provided by the heat exchanger; and contacting a feedstock comprising hydrocarbons with the catalyst material in the at least one reaction zone of the moving bed reactor under reaction conditions to convert at least a portion of the hydrocarbons to a first effluent comprising a product comprising alkenes, alkynes, cyclic hydrocarbons, and/or aromatics.
