摘要: A fuel injector, especially an injector for fuel injection systems in internal combustion engines, has a piezoelectric or magnetostrictive actuator. The actuator, via a valve needle, activates a valve-closure member, which cooperates with a valve seat surface to form a sealing seat. The actuator can be actuated in a first direction of motion. In contrast, the valve-closure member can be moved by the valve needle in a second direction of motion (40) that is essentially perpendicular to the first direction of motion.

摘要: A liquid-drop discharge device is provided including a float cell provided with a valve and communicating to a liquid storage tank, a liquid discharge mechanism for discharging liquid within the float cell, and a reaction cell provided with a space into which fluid is discharged from the liquid discharge mechanism for collecting the discharged fluid. Air is supplied to the reaction cell for collecting liquid or minute particles, and an internal pressure P1 of the liquid storage tank or the float cell and an internal pressure P3 of the reaction cell are set such that a relationship of P1=P3, in which the pressures are identical to atmospheric pressure, or P1>P3, to supply stronger air, is satisfied.

摘要: The invention is based on a hydraulic control device (60), in particular for an injector (16) of a fuel injection system (10) in motor vehicles. Known control devices have a piezoelectric actuator, which controls a multi-position valve (75), embodied as an outward-opening valve with a valve member (74) guided in a valve bore (76). According to the invention, it is proposed that a booster (62) that reverses the deflection motion of the actuator (52) be disposed between the actuator (52) and the valve member (74), and that the multi-position valve (75) be embodied as an inward-opening 3/2-way valve. The valve member (74) of this valve, in operative connection with a valve seat (98) and a control edge (96), alternatingly opens or closes pressure fluid connections between pressure fluid conduits (86, 88, 92).

摘要: A fuel injector preferably has a body, a closure member, a piezoelectric device, and a hydraulic thermal compensator. The body extends along an axis. The closure member is displaceable with respect to the body between a first configuration and a second configuration. The first configuration prevents fuel flow through the body, and the second configuration permits fuel flow through the body. The piezoelectric device displaces the closure member from the first configuration to the second configuration. The compensator is coupled with the piezoelectric device and includes a first tube, a second tube, a piston, and fluid. The first tube extends along the axis from a first end portion that occludes the first tube. The first end portion contiguously engages a first one of the body, the closure member, and the piezoelectric device. The second tube is telescopically received in the first tube. The second tube extends along the axis from a second end portion that generally occludes the second tube and that defines an orifice. The second tube is fixed with respect to a second one of the body, the closure member, and the piezoelectric device. The piston is telescopically received in the second tube. And the fluid is displaceable through the orifice to move the first tube relative to the second tube.

摘要: The liquid droplet ejection apparatus includes a liquid supply path, a plurality of mutually independent pressurizing chambers, a plurality of liquid introduction bores for establishing communication between the corresponding pressurizing chambers and the liquid supply path, and a plurality of ejection nozzles for establishing communication between the corresponding pressurizing chambers and the exterior of the liquid droplet ejection apparatus. An ejection bore formed at the end portion of the ejection nozzle has a hollow cylindrical form and the inside diameter thereof increases toward an ejection opening. When a potential difference is applied between two electrodes of a piezoelectric/electrostrictive element, a ceramic sheet forming the upper wall of the pressurizing chamber deforms to thereby cause a change of the volume of the pressurizing chamber. Thus, liquid pressure within the pressurizing chamber increases to thereby cause simultaneous ejection of a plurality of liquid droplets from the ejection opening.

The injector further comprises a piezoelectric actuator arrangement including a piezoelectric element having first and second ends, the first end being associated with the spill valve arrangement and the second end being associated with the valve needle such that, in use, operation of the spill valve arrangement and movement of the valve needle is controlled by controlling the energisation level of the piezoelectric element.
