    摘要: A method and system are disclosed for the modification of the timing of one of a plurality of PEL clocks included within an electrophotographic device. A first indicator is generated which is associated with a first position on a print receiving material. A second indicator is generated which is associated with a second position on the print receiving material. A first enable signal is generated for initiating a first scan. The first scan is executed utilizing a first laser beam synchronized by a first PEL clock. A second enable signal is generated for initiating a second scan. The second scan is executed utilizing a second laser beam synchronized by a second PEL clock. The first and second scans are executed approximately concurrently. An offset of the second position from the first position is determined. The timing of a second PEL clock is modified by adjusting the second enable signal utilizing the offset so that the first and second positions are approximately aligned.

    摘要: There is provided an image forming apparatus that is capable of securing required printing quality by properly correcting a main scanning scale. In a pixel division modulating process, for each of one or more correction points (at l-th, m-th, and n-th pixels) on each of lines along which scanning is carried out on a photosensitive drum 11 by laser light, the final bit data of pixel-division-modulated pixel data of a pixel immediately preceding each correction point is added to the pixel data of a pixel located at the correction point as the leading bit data of the pixel-division-modulated pixel data of this pixel. The same processing as above is sequentially performed on pixel data of pixels located subsequently to the correction point to sequentially shift predetermined bit data of pixel data of pixels to pixel data of the respective following pixels, to thereby generate pixel data of a new pixel. The generated pixel data of the new pixel is outputted in synchronism with an image clock of a fixed frequency.

    摘要: An optical printing head of a side-printing device has an array of LED chips mounted on a substrate along a perpendicular direction to a conveying direction of a photosensitive material. The LED chips are driven in synchronism with the conveying movement of the photosensitive material, to print data of the photosensitive material as a latent image line by line on a side margin of the photosensitive material. Each LED chip corresponds to one pixel of the latent image, and is partitioned from each other by partitioning plates, for preventing interference between rays from adjacent LED chips. A diffusion plate is placed on the partitioning plates, to equalize luminance of rays from each LED chip.
