摘要: A device for determining flow rate of a liquid material that is discharged from an orifice. There is provided a container having a container wall extending upwardly to an open mouth for collection of the discharge from an orifice. The container has a discharge opening in its base and is supported by suspension means from a load cell. The signal from the load cell, which is responsive to the downward force imparted by the container and liquid material therein, is transmitted to a readout means. Since the liquid material flows at a determined rate from the discharge opening the signal from the load cell is directly related to the flow rate of the liquid material, thereby enabling the flow rate to be calculated.

摘要: A device for connecting two or more bulk compounding systems for mixing hyperalimentation solutions is described. The device allows electrical signals from each bulk compounding system to be connected to one another so that each bulk compounding system may act in concert with other bulk compounding systems to fill an individual receiving container with minimal modifications to the internal circuitry of an individual bulk compounding system.

摘要: A weight monitor includes a first part for attachment to a pedestal or other support member and a second part for suspending a blood collection bag to be filled by a flow of blood from a donor. A trough shaped spring interconnects the first and second parts and retains the second part in fixed positional relationship to the first part until the bending force imposed upon the spring by the filling blood collection bag exceeds a predetermined value at which point the spring flexes abruptly and the second part becomes positionally reoriented with respect to the first part. A clamp, associated with the fill tube of the blood collection bag, is actuated by the reorientation of the second part to terminate further flow of blood through the fill tube into the blood collection bag.

摘要: A method and apparatus of collecting a desired end-point weight amount of material first conveys the material into the collection container until a predetermined weight amount is collected. The predetermined weight amount is less than the desired end-point weight amount by a selected initial weight offset amount. An additional incremental amount of material is next conveyed into the container for a predetermined fixed time period. In doing so, the method and apparatus gauge the particular flow characteristics of the associated flow system. A further additional incremental amount of material is conveyed into the collection container for another time period, the length of which reflects the anticipated flow characteristics of the system, based upon the performance of the system during the preceding period. The method and apparatus repeat this sequence until the then-existing weight amount equals or exceeds the desired end-point weight amount.

摘要: An apparatus for charging a refrigeration system with a predetermined amount of refrigerant by weight. The apparatus includes a cylinder which is mounted on top of a strain gauge scale that is first filled from a source of refrigrant and then automatically discharged to fill a refrigeration system with a predetermined amount of refrigerant. The system includes solenoid operated valves which are automatically operated for loading the cylinder and charging the refrigeration system. A vacuum pump is also included in the circuit for placing the refrigeration system under a predetermined vacuum prior to the charging operation.

摘要: Apparatus is described comprising a chamber (101), which further comprises an interior (130), a sensor (102), a fluid dispenser (103) and a controller (104). A 3D printed object can be disposed in the chamber (101). The sensor (102) is arranged to weigh the chamber (101) or the whole contents of the chamber (101). The fluid dispenser (103) is arranged to dispense fluid into the interior (130) of the chamber (101) and the controller (104) can determine the weight of the 3D printed object and control the fluid dispenser (103). A system and a non-transitory machine-readable storage medium encoded with instructions executable by a processor.
