Abstract:
A light seal for a liquid scintillation counting apparatus sample changing mechanism is described in which a continuous sample conveyor feeding the counting chamber of the apparatus is disposed in a serpentine path within a light-tight tunnel enclosing a load-unload station.
Abstract:
An apparatus for integrating metrology and method for using the same are disclosed. The apparatus includes a multi-chamber system having a transfer chamber, a deposition chamber, an etch chamber and a metrology chamber, and a robot configured to transfer a substrate between the deposition chamber or etch chamber and the metrology chamber.
Abstract:
A sample container, sampling system and operating methods permit representative sampling from a liquid phase or boiling liquid, a gaseous phase, a containment sump, containment atmosphere, or condensation chamber of a nuclear power plant following a severe accident. A sample container obtaining an environmental sample includes an outer chamber surrounded by an outer container wall, being directly fluidically connected to the environment through a passage opening in the outer container wall and being fillable with a liquid at least in a base region. An inner chamber surrounded by an inner container wall is fluidically connected to the base region through a passage opening in the inner container wall, has connections for sampling and conveyor medium lines and is otherwise pressure and media tightly sealed from the environment. A pneumatically or hydraulically actuatable closure device for the passage opening between the outer and inner chambers has an actuation medium line connection.
Abstract:
Each adapter disposed on a rack includes a pair of arms that configure an opening/closing mechanism. During rack conveyance, a guiding block is slotted between a pair of legs contained in the rack. The opening/closing mechanism being abutted against the guiding block causes the opening/closing mechanism to perform an opening/closing operation. When the state of the opening/closing mechanism is changed from closed to open, a pre-measurement sample container is passed from a sample storage unit to a lifting mechanism. Subsequent to the post-measurement sample container being returned to the sample storage unit, the state of the opening/closing mechanism is changed from open to closed.
Abstract:
In an X-ray inspecting apparatus, a rotational fluctuation amount of a stage is calculated around a power transmission part of the stage and a stage drive unit as a base point, i.e., the X-axis and Y-axis sliding parts, in accordance with detected positional information from a position detecting sensor. Then, a stage shift amount is calculated in accordance with the rotational fluctuation amount and a distance between the base point and an imaging position on the stage. Here, the stage shift amount corresponds to a positional deviation of the stage at the imaging position caused by an attitude variation of the stage in a yawing direction, and thus is an error in repeated positioning. Accordingly, a tomographic image with high resolution can be generated in consideration of the error in repeated positioning.
