    Abstract: A phone device monitors an accelerometer while traveling in a vehicle to detect unusually large excursions or sudden changes in acceleration magnitude. When such an excursion is detected, the phone device then compares the excursion with the output of other components in the vehicle that can confirm or dispel a finding that the vehicle has experienced a collision. Once a likely collision has been detected, the phone device goes into an automated assistance mode where the use can be voice prompted as to their condition. If no response is received, the phone device can automatically call emergency services for assistance, providing the present location of the phone device. In less severe incidents, the phone device can automatically offer immediate access to other services, include a towing service, an attorney, an automobile service, among others. The service providers are based on a geo-fenced region in which the phone device is located.

    Abstract: A social care alarm system includes a client terminal unit configured to be installed in a dwelling of a client, and a remote monitoring center coupled by a set of data carriers over one or more communications networks. The client terminal unit communicates with the monitoring center in a master-slave communication session using a selected data carrier, which includes raising an alarm event and supporting a voice call. The client terminal unit is also able to send session less short status messages at predetermined intervals to the monitoring center using the selected data carrier without forming the master-slave communication session, in order to monitor viability of the selected data carrier with reduced bandwidth consumption.

The LED hub may be communicatively coupled to the outlet hub. The system may include wearable alert activation devices communicatively coupled to at least one outlet hub.     Abstract: An unmanned aerial system (UAS) may comprise an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) configured to search and recover persons and things, collect and produce data of an emergency situation for display on a vehicle navigation system, or explore for natural resources. The UAS may include a landing pad, and/or a sensor such as a ground penetrating sensor configured to search for a person trapped underground. The UAS may be configured to receive data from the one or more sensors. An analyzer may be used to assess surrounding environment and the status of the person or thing, and send a signal to the UAV. The components attached to the UAV may include connectors, a robotic arm, a sensor, and/or a portable power source. The UAS may be configured to, for example, detect an emergency situation and determine the nature and location of the emergency situation. The UAS may be configured to explore for oil, gas, and mineral sources, and/or excavate location using a robotic arm.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for locating a cellular phone are provided. More particularly, systems and methods for providing the location of a requested user's cellular phone from a requesting user's device (e.g., a second cellular phone) based on access rights defined by the requested user. Location descriptions may be provided at a multitude of levels. For example, if a cellular phone, or an identity associated to (e.g., logged into) a cellular phone, has been given access rights to a cell phone's exact location for an indefinite amount of time, that cell phone can receive, on command, the exact location of the approved cell phone. Other levels of location information that can be granted include, for example, proximities, states, and countries.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for computer-aided, session-based operational and organizational responses to asynchronously occurring events. A “session” is a collection of client-server connections, each client connection being an endpoint device in a pool of devices under the control of the members of a defined operational response team cooperating to address an event. The session provides an organizational framework for information sharing, including using context roles to identify the proper recipients for data and messages. The information and data is shared to participating recipients in the session in real-time as the operational response is conducted, and as new data and information is generated, that data is added to the session with a timestamp. Once the response is concluded, the sessions can be closed, encapsulating the data, which can then be “played” back to re-experience the response as it played out, such as for audit, analysis, and review purposes.
