    摘要: In an existing time division exchange system the known switching network and connection units are retained, but the control of these units is taken over by a pair of new control units which replace a collection of previous units such as multi-registers, markers, translators, call charging devices etc. The new control units each comprise a multi-register portion and a dialogue portion with the multi-register portion governing the setting up and the clearing down of traffic while the dialogue portion performs most of the communication between the multi-register portion and the rest of the exchange equipment. The control units are microprogrammed machines under the control of a "macroprogram" assembled using the conventional computer techniques. The control units are connected to a data processing center via a monitoring unit.

    摘要: An electronic program controlled switching system is disclosed having a ringing control circuit for testing called lines for foreign potential and excessive leakage before ringing the called phone. The circuit includes bridge rectifiers and transistor circuitry for checking for foreign potentials and ferrod sensors for detecting undesired leakage. An opto-isolator and relay arrangement controls the application of ringing to the called line. Active filter and latch operational amplifiers sense the application of the ringing and the answering of the rung phone. Magnetic latching relays establish successive test and ringing configurations of the ringing control circuit components under control of a signal distributor and a program controlled processor. Ferrod sensors convey ringing control circuit information to the processor via a scanner.

    摘要: A microprocessor control system for monitoring and controlling a plurality of different parameters or features of a large number of like-kind entities, each characterized by such parameters or features. The control system is particularly suitable for automatically controlling on an indiviudal room basis, parameters within hotels/motels such as: counting the number of outgoing calls, paging guests having messages and controlling room message waiting indicators, placing wake-up calls to guest rooms at predesired wake-up times, and tracking in real-time the housekeeping and occupancy status of each hotel/motel room. Incidentally to the room status feature, telephone sets within unoccupied rooms or within rooms being cleaned are automatically disabled from registering outgoing calls, but may be used for registering emergency calls. All control functions are performed by a microprocessor under hardwire program or firmware command. Each room has identified therewith in the control system a plurality of identifiable Feature circuits addressable by and responsive to commands by the microprocessor for interfacing with the respective telephone set circuits servicing that room. The microprocessor and Feature circuits interface with pre-existing telephone equipment within the hotel/motel at the site of the central telephone control circuit bay within the hotel/motel, requiring no additional wiring to or any new circuit installations within the hotel/motel rooms. Hotel/motel personnel and the control system communicate with one another by means of a plurality of personalized desk consoles, by means of a plurality of room status and message waiting display scanners strategically located throughout the hotel/motel, and by means of a printer. The room status and message waiting scanners sequentially display those room numbers currently requiring maid or housekeeping service, or for which a message is waiting, respectively. The printer provides, under microprocessor control, a hard-copy record of all console and many feature processing functions of the control system.

    摘要: A circuit arrangement for connection of information transducers, which may be compensating networks in program controlled telecommunication exchange systems is described. In the system the transfer of information between the feeder and consumer lines connected to a line connection unit always occurs over a central memory. The storage areas in the central memory, which are connected to feeder lines, can be reached over input code transducers and contain an address datum identifying the desired outgoing or consumer lines. By means of the address datum, the consumer lines can be reached over output code transducers. Compensating networks are connected at the input end to the outputs of the output code transducer and at the output end to inputs of the input code transducer. Applicable outputs of the output code transducer can be reached over an address datum contained in an associated storage area. Specific storage areas connected to applicable inputs of the input code transducer can be reached over these inputs. These storage areas each contain an address datum identifying the desired consumer line.

    摘要: A link is connected between each linefinder/first selector combination of a telephone system. The links, in turn, are selectively connected to a group of ports, several links to one port, and the ports are connected to one or more telephone signal processors. When a telephone goes OFF HOOK, the sleeve or C lead of the linefinder at which that telephone's scanning switch is then pointing (determined by the associated link being connected to an available port) is grounded. When the address of this link next occurs in a time multiplex cycle, the link is latched, and the telephone's tip and ring leads are connected to the link's port. After signal processing has ended, or some other release action occurs, the port generates a release signal that disconnects the link from the port. While any link is connected to its associated port, a make-busy ground circuit forming part of eack link applies a false busy signal to the linefinders associated with the other links common to the same port. The false busy signals prevent the linefinders associated with the other links from attempting to seize the busy port via those links. Termination of a conversation flowing through one link creates a WINK signal that causes a release of its associated linefinder, even though another link may be connected to the associated port at the time the conversation is terminated. In the case where two links associated with the same port attempt to seize that port at substantially the same time, the link having the earlier address in the time multiplex cycle actually seizes the port. The second link, upon sensing the creation of a false busy signal (causes by the seizing of the port by the first link) is dumped. Dumping the second link causes the dumped link's linefinder scanning switch to route the second call to a linefinder having a link whose associated port is available for signal processing.
