摘要： A walk-behind tiller has a body and a pair of wheels mounted on the body for undergoing rotation to cause the walk-behind tiller to undergo travelling along a ground surface. A tilling device is mounted on the body for undergoing a first movement operation in which the tilling device travels along the ground surface while the tilling device is disposed in spaced-apart relation to the ground surface, a second movement operation in which the tilling device tills the ground, and a third movement operation in which the tilling device is maintained generally horizontal to the ground surface. A handle has proximal portions, a pair of grip portions connected to the proximal portions and configured to be gripped by an operator to maintain the tilling device generally parallel to the ground surface during the third movement operation, a pair of rising portions connected to the grip portions and configured to be tilted by the operator during the second movement operation to cause the tilling device to till the ground, and a cross portion disposed between the rising portions and configured to be gripped and pressed by an operator to produce a force tending to move the tilling device about the rotational axis to maintain the tilling device in spaced-apart relation to the ground surface.

摘要： A turf aerator is provided with two separate shafts, each having a plurality of tines mounted thereon for aerating the turf. Each shaft is selectively connected to an output shaft of a motor mounted on the frame of the aerator by two separate drive trains, each having a clutch arrangement therein. A pair of control levers are mounted on a handle assembly for operating the clutches in each drive train. Thus either or both of the tine carrying shafts may be rotated to facilitate a turning operation of the aerator or facilitating the operation of the aerator while traversing a sloping surface.

摘要： A self-contained bioremediation unit is adapted for quick coupling to a front-end loader, bulldozer or the like with no power connections between them. It carries its own engine and fuel tank for hydraulic driving of a dual horizontal auger head assembly for pulverizing, homogenizing and windrowing soil as the unit is advanced across a site. An upper auger is positioned above and forwardly of a lower auger for further pulverizing a soil first broken up by the lower auger. The unit includes its own water tank for carrying water and bacteria and a spray system for spraying the water and bacteria onto soil pulverized by the auger assembly. A hopper may be provided on the unit for dispensing fertilizer into the soil being pulverized by the auger assembly.

摘要： An apparatus for pulverizing hard surfaces, the apparatus having multiple sets of elongated, curvilinear shearing blades. The shearing blades are helically mounted about a rotational shaft, adjacent sets of shearing blades mounted at an inverse pitch angle. The mounting orientation allows layers of the substance to be pulverized to be sheared off a compacted surface, then rotated about the rotational shaft, while also being move back and forth along the longitudinal axis of the rotational shaft, leading to more complete pulverization. The shearing blades are mounted intermediate their edges to the rotational shaft by support members, and at a rake angle relative to the surface for ensuring efficient operation. The total arc length of the blades is at least 360.degree.and the trailing edges of the blades are turned outward to prevent bucking. The arrangement of the blades also causes the apparatus to pull itself into the surface to be pulverized to ease operation. The blades are removably mounted.

The basic structure comprises a single engine, speed reducer, and transmission mounted on a frame with handle bars and controls. The components make up a collection of tines, wheels, blades, rollers, plows, racks and mounting parts. The operator mounts selected components on the basic structure to create a custom ramification for accomplishing a specific task. The specification describes eighteen applications. Eight apply to common tasks of tilling, grading, removing snow, shredding, edging and mowing. The ten remaining apply to new methods for wet lands tilling, hard ground tilling, rolling, aerating, dethatching, scooping, lifting, cross country transporting, and automatic mixing and separating. A primary advantage of the method lies in a consolidation that reduces costs for capital outlay, maintenance, storage, and transportation of walk behind equipment. A secondary advantage exists in a power take-off and mounting base for pumps, blowers, and generators to operate log splitters, yard vacuums, chemical sprayers, recreational gear, and fire fighting equipment.
