摘要: A soil treatment system, including heat treatment apparatus configured to travel in a forward direction along a plot of ground having a soil surface and configured for disturbing the soil surface and treating associated soil with steam as the heat treatment apparatus travels to provide steam treated soil, and a source of steam in flow communication with the heat treatment apparatus for supplying steam to the heat treatment apparatus. The heat treatment apparatus includes a blade configured to contact the soil surface and lift and circulate the soil and return the soil to the ground and a plurality of steam outlets configured to introduce steam to the soil as it is lifted and circulated. The system also includes an insulative sheet material and a cooperating dispenser configured to dispense the sheet material to overlie the treated soil with the sheet material after the passage of the heat treatment apparatus.

摘要: A rock sample includes multiple rock samples that are each obtained from the borehole. The rock samples have been exposed to contamination during a drilling operation to drill the borehole. The rock sample is split into a first sample portion and a second sample portion. The first sample portion is decontaminated with a solvent. The second sample portion is decontaminated by thermovaporization for an initial duration of time at an initial thermovaporization temperature below that of a cracking temperature of an organic matter carried within the rock sample. A difference between a first pyrolysis Tmax value of the first sample portion decontaminated by the solvent and a second pyrolysis Tmax value of the second sample portion decontaminated by the thermovaporization is determined to satisfy a decontamination level threshold. The remainder of rock samples are decontaminated by the thermovaporization in response to determining that the difference satisfies the decontamination level threshold.

摘要: A method and system to remediate soil containing PFAS compounds and organic carbon. Total organic carbon is reduced by heating the soil at a sufficient temperature and for a sufficient duration to reduce surface effects between the PFAS compounds and the organic carbon to permit evaporation and treatment of the PFAS compounds from the soil.

摘要: A closed-loop system and method for heating of target contaminant treatment zones (150) having environmental contaminants of concern present in the groundwater and the soil by thermal conduction, and subsequent enhancement of physical, biological and chemical processes to attenuate, remove and degrade contaminants in the target contaminant treatment zones, is disclosed. The system and method collects solar or other heat and transfers that heat via a closed-loop and a set of borehole exchangers (120) to subsurface soil in the proximity of and/or directly to the target contaminant treatment zones. The target contaminant treatment zone may comprise contaminated soil, contaminated groundwater in an aquifer, or industrial waste comprising water and/or solids. Solar collectors or heat exchangers capturing waste heat from industrial processes may be used as the heat source (110).

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a carbon fiber recycling device for recycling carbon fiber from a carbon fiber polymer composite by using a microwave. The carbon fiber recycling device includes at least one microwave supplying unit and a cavity. By radiating the microwave on the carbon fiber polymer composite, energy of the microwave is quickly absorbed by the carbon fiber to quickly increase a temperature of the carbon fiber, and the carbon fiber polymer composite is effectively and quickly decomposed to remove most polymer matrix of the carbon fiber polymer composite, so as to achieve the objective of recycling the carbon fiber indeed.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a thermal desorption system for oil-contaminated soil and gravel, using a microwave indirect irradiation method and including a microwave emission prevention device and a preheating device using waste heat, and a thermal desorption method for oil-contaminated soil and gravel, using the same and, more specifically to: a device capable of economically purifying, in an eco-friendly manner, contaminated soil and gravel by using a microwave indirect irradiation method on soil and gravel contaminated by pollutants such as various oils or organic waste; and a method therefor. When using the contaminated soil and gravel purification device and the method therefor of the present invention, purification work can be completed by processing contaminated soil and gravel only once, thereby enabling high productivity to be ensured, and waste materials discharged from an ironmaking process and the like are used as raw materials of heating element particles such that objectives are achieved even without using conventional, high-priced materials, thereby enabling high economic feasibility to be ensured, and thus applicability to an actual field can remarkably increase. In addition, an outer tube encompassing an inner tube extends to both sides and a plurality of ring-shaped microwave attenuation units are arranged on the inner circumferential surface of the outer tube, such that microwaves are prevented from leaking between the inner tube and the outer tube, thereby enabling eco-friendliness to be ensured, and even the waste heat generated during a pollutant desorption process is utilized in the system itself, thereby enabling economic feasibility to increase further.
