    摘要: A device for threading the leading end of a web through a web path between a series of rollers in shafts includes a leader line for attachment to the leading end of the web and for drawing the web through the web path. There is also a leader path on one side of the series of rollers which is generally parallel to but beside the web path for supporting the leader line means and confining the lateral movement of the leader line means while permitting longitudinal movement of the leader line means and the leading end of the web in the direction generally parallel to but beside of the web path. The leader path includes pulleys mounted on the roller shafts which freely rotate relative to the respective rollers. The leader line includes a proximal end portion by which the leader line means is engaged and drawn, a distal end portion, and a loop intermediate the proximal and distal end portions for attachment of the leader line connected to a retractor to the web.

A bar 34 projects through an opening 30 in plate 24 to create a fold in the fabric strip 12. A thin plate 66 retracts against a ledge 52 to grasp the fabric strip 12. Then, the transfer clamp 14 is rotated into a position such that the plate 66 lies flush with the support base 16. The transfer clamp releases the folded fabric strip 12 in a position where it is then fed into the sewing machine 22 together with the fabric piece 18 when they are sewn together.

The clip is propelled by a driving force to convey the photosensitive material. In a clip removing device 56, rotating arms 66 bend the leading end portion of the photosensitive material in the direction of the thickness thereof such that the leading end portion is disengaged from the clip. The photosensitive material is then fed by rollers 72, 74, 80, 82 to a subsequent stage 87 where it is cut off.

This transport device is capable of moving towards the film card, so that the film card passes between the disks. One of the disks is driven so that the film card is transported as soon as it passes between the disks. Due to the arrangement of a pair of disks, the transport device is extremely flat so that it can withdraw a film card from a cassette without the need for it to be slid into the induction region of the transport device by means of, for example, a ram.

    摘要: An improved continuous web handling apparatus and method for printing, handling, collating and final processing of multiple-page printed items such as business forms or the like is provided which employs separate, shiftable, track-mounted web supports having individual, pivotal, spring-biased web keepers to facilitate accurate, continuous draping of printed webs onto the supports for subsequent handling and processing thereof. In preferred forms, the apparatus includes a web fed printing press which continuously feeds printed web to a draping station adjacent the conveyor track; the draping station includes a novel, vacuum air pickup bar intermittently rotated by a five-lobe internal geneva gear mechanism, along with actuating apparatus which pivots the respective web keepers open during initial stages of web drapage and thereafter allows the keepers to close against and hold the web in place. A plurality of webs can be draped one on top of the other on the supports and/or printed on both sides thereof and thereafter removed from the supports for additional processing at speeds economical for short run printing, without fear that the webs will become unacceptably misaligned. The air pickup bar includes an improved web-engaging resilient suction pad, and internal structure for varying the number of bar ports subjected to vacuum or pressure conditions (in order to effectively handle webs of various widths). The web supports are bidirectionally shiftable, and the keepers can be operated during travel in either direction.

    摘要: The invention concerns a feed device for feeding rod or striplike material, the device having two or more feed members which are arranged to lie behind one another along a feed path of the material. Each of the feed members carries a plurality of grippers arranged at equal angular intervals around a central axis of the feed member and is connected with a gearing which imposes on the feed member a rotational motion about its axis and, simultaneously, a circular motion about a fixed axis parallel with its own axis. The arrangement is such that said rotational and circular motions are coordinated so that the grippers of each of said feed members describe a trochoidal path which includes a substantially straight-line section along the feed path. Devices are provided for the automatic actuation of the grippers during their sweep through the straight-line section and the motion of the two feed members is coordinated so that the grippers of one feed member engage the material alternately with the grippers of the other feed member with an overlap in time to provide continuous advancement of the material.

The sprockets of the two conveyors are arranged so that the material is engaged by the conveyor whose chains have the teeth before and remains in engagement therewith after the material is also in engagement with the other conveyor.

    摘要: The disclosure relates to a film transportation plate and a film transportation system for transporting a film web through processing stations of a film packaging machine. The film transportation plate has two opposite lateral edges and, therebetween, at least one mold impression for thermoforming the film web. Retainers for the film web are arranged on the two lateral edges. The retainers are each formed by a fixed clamping surface and at least one clamping jaw, which is movable relative to the clamping surface, for pressing the film web so as to clamp it against the clamping surface. The retainers also each have at least one retaining magnet for attracting the clamping jaw against the clamping surface, and an actuating extension for lifting the clamping jaw off the clamping surface. The film transportation system also includes actuating means which act on the actuating extensions of the clamping jaws.
