    摘要: An electric wire processing apparatus includes a gripping mechanism that grips a part of an electric wire, a driving mechanism that drives the gripping mechanism, an electric wire winding mechanism that winds the electric wire, and a rotating mechanism that rotates and drives the electric wire winding mechanism. The electric wire winding mechanism includes a winding drum, an electric wire clip provided on the winding drum to hold a leading end of the electric wire, and a holding member that holds an electric wire bundle. The driving mechanism moves the gripping mechanism toward the electric wire clip to hold the leading end on the electric wire clip, the rotating mechanism rotates the winding drum so that the electric wire is wound around the winding drum, and the holding member holds the electric wire bundle wound around the winding drum in the annular shape.

    摘要: A wire feeder device for feeding a welding wire in a feeding direction is disclosed. The wire feeder device includes one or more roller chains and a plurality of first and second gripper members. The gripper members are movable from an open position to a closed position to contact and grip the welding wire. In use, the first and second gripper members are longitudinally movable with the roller chain(s) so that the welding wire is pulled along a substantially linear path. The first and second gripper members may be orientated in a vertical (i.e., coplanar) orientation or a horizontal, lateral orientation. The gripper members may include a built-in centering function to center a position of the welding wire.

    摘要: An apparatus for cutting an indefinite length suture strand to uniform lengths for subsequent threading and swaging to a surgical needle includes a drawing tower having at least one guide member defining a drawing axis parallel thereto. First and second gripping devices are provided to grip the indefinite length suture strand and draw it along the drawing axis; each gripping device mounted for reciprocal movement on at least one guide member. A retractable cutter for cutting the indefinite length suture strand is also provided for cutting the strand at a start position along the drawing axis. The indefinite length suture strand is fed to the drawing axis and drawn a predetermined distance beyond the location of the retractable cutter for positioning within a suture receiving opening formed in the surgical needle, while the second gripping device reciprocates to a start position along the drawing axis. The indefinite length suture strand is then inserted within the suture receiving opening of the needle and cut to a predetermined length by the retractable cutter after the second gripping means has gripped the indefinite length suture strand at the start position.

    摘要: The apparatus for transporting cable sections enables transporting the cable sections cyclically or intermittently along a cable section processing line by means of double grippers which grasp opposite ends of an associated cable section. These double grippers are arranged at a substantially uniform spacing from one another at the outer periphery of a transport element. The double grippers are rotationally mounted perpendicular to the direction of movement of the transport element and perpendicular to the lengthwise axis of the grasped opposite ends of the cable sections. At least at two locations of the transport element there are stationarily arranged gripper actuators for opening each closed double gripper which has been closed under the action of the force of an associated spring, once in order to receive an infed cable section, and once to release the finished-processed cable section. The opposite ends of each engaged cable section are moved past cable work stations and during a work cycle, after having previously centered the related double gripper, processed or fitted with a terminal. By incorporating a pivot device or a rotary device each double gripper together with the grasped cable section, can be latchably rotated about its axis of rotation through predetermined angles.

    摘要: Apparatus for cutting and preparing cables use a grip head having a cable gripping device which is swingable by a drive between end positions delimited by a shock absorber and which is mounted on one end on a shaft rotatable about an axis extending rectangularly to a cable run. A force-transmitting element is coupled to be swingable with the grip head in spaced relationship to the mentioned axis, and a link is disposed between the force-transmitting element and the shock absorber. The force-transmitting element is positionable in a mid-position between end positions thereof opposite to the shock absorber and on a line intersecting the mentioned axis at right angles. The force-transmitting element may be arranged on a drive power link which is mounted on the same end of the shaft as the grip head.

    摘要: Fluid pressure mechanism for locking a movable rod or similar member in scted positions of adjustment. The mechanism includes a fluid housing having at least one annular rod-gripper element encircling a movable rod. Introduction of fluid pressure into the housing causes the gripper element to expand out of locking engagement with the rod. Removal of the fluid pressure force enables the gripper element to relax into locking engagement with the rod. In a preferred arrangement two rod-gripper elements are employed. The rod passes through the two gripper elements located in opposite side walls of the housing.

    摘要: In a rod cement feeding apparatus, the rod passes between two plates, pivoted to one another, each plate having a semi-cylindrical groove, so that the two grooves for a substantially cylindrical passageway for the rod. The surfaces of the plates in which the grooves are provided are, over most of their length, spaced apart by projections, so that opposed slots are formed which extend into the passageway for the rod. Projecting into one such slot is a spring-urged jaw which co-operates with a fixed jaw which projects into the other slot, the jaws being moved lengthwise of the passageway by a pneumatic cylinder arrangement. As the jaws are moved in one direction, the spring-urged jaw tends to bite into the rod so that the rod is fed with the jaws during their advancing movement, while when the jaws are moved in the opposite direction the rotatable jaw releases its grip so that there is no tendency for the rod to be fed in the opposite direction. In the event of a jam in the passageway or slot(s), which thus prevents the rod from being fed, it is merely necessary to unclamp the plates and pivot them apart to gain access to the passageway for cleaning purposes.
