摘要: A method of providing at least one Network Service (NS) to a Network Slice (NwS) during a design phase of the NwS based on a NwS Forwarding Graph (NwS FG) which comprises Network Functions (NFs) at a functional level, Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) and/or Physical Network Functions (PNFs) at a resource level, and embedding information for embedding the VNFs and/or PNFs (VNFs/PNFs) across more than one domain. The method determines, based on the NwS FG, Network Slice Subnets (NwSSs) for the NwS, wherein NFs comprising the NwS FG are grouped into respective groups to be managed by a respective NwSS manager. The method further maps the NwSSs to NSs based on Network Function Virtualization Orchestrator (NFVO) assigned to a domain, wherein at least some of the VNFs/PNFs managed by respective NFVOs are mapped to sites across the multiple domains determined by the embedding information.

摘要: Embodiments govern cloud environments using a policy engine. A plurality of policy definitions for governing a plurality of managed environments can be received at a policy engine, each policy definition including one or more conditions and one or more actions, where the managed environments implement cloud based virtual machines that host cloud based applications. Events that relate to one or more of the managed environments can be received at the policy engine. Conditions for the policy definitions can be evaluated by the policy engine, where conditions for a first policy definition are triggered based on one or more of the received events. Based on the evaluating, one or more actions of the first policy definition can be performed, the one or more actions changing a first managed environment that is governed by the first policy definition.

摘要: Methods, systems, devices, and tangible non-transitory computer readable media for checking computing device inactivity are provided. The disclosed technology can access, based on a device policy, organizational data associated with activity of a user's computing device. Based on the device policy and the organizational data, a valid inactivity time period including continuous organization approved time periods of valid inactivity beginning at a most recent time the computing device was active and ending a predetermined amount of time after the most recent time can be determined. Based on the device policy and the organizational data, a determination of whether inactivity criteria associated with inactivity of the computing device are satisfied is made. Satisfying the inactivity criteria can include the computing device being inactive after the valid inactivity time period. Furthermore, indications associated with the computing device's inactivity can be generated if the inactivity criteria are satisfied.

Client devices having similar performance metrics are assigned the same cluster. An operation of the application is modified as a function of the performance metrics of the client device. The modification of application operation is performed by turning certain features of the application on and off using a rule based on device cluster.

摘要: A method and apparatus form and/or define a network topology in a Layer 3 network with a plurality of nodes, where each node has at least one interface. To that end, the method defines a plurality of neighborhoods, and assigns at least one interface of each node to at least one of the neighborhoods. The method also assigns a communication role to each interface so that each communication role is effective relative to one of the plurality of neighborhoods. The method then enables communication between the interfaces of the plurality of nodes as a function of the neighborhoods and the communication roles.
