The method includes receiving viewer biometric data captured by a biometric capture device associated with the media device; determining a category of the viewer based on the captured viewer biometric data; comparing the captured viewer biometric data to a reference to determine a possible identity of the viewer, by: determining a presence probability for the viewer based on a match between the biometric data and the reference, and determining a confidence level for the probability; and when the probability and confidence level equal or exceed a threshold, determining the viewer is present at the media device.

摘要： An online system provides video data to client devices for presentation to users. Various client devices include a gaze tracking system that identifies locations within the video data where users' gazes were directed at different times during presentation of the video data and provides the identified locations to the online system. Based on characteristics of the users and of the video data, the online system generates a model determining likelihoods of a user's gaze being directed to different locations within the video data at different times. When the online system selects the video data for presentation to a target user, the online system applies the model to the target user and the video data. Based on the resulting likelihoods, the online system modifies resolutions of different locations of the video data when providing the video data to a client device for presentation to the target user.

摘要： A system and method for sending multimedia to a remote television. Credential information associated with at least a first user and a second user is stored. A request is received from a mobile device associated with the first user to share multimedia with a destination television associated with the second user. It is determined whether the second user is authorized to receive the multimedia from the first user using the stored credential information. A connection is established between the mobile device and the destination television after determining that the second user is authorized to receive the multimedia. The multimedia is transmitted to the destination television in real-time. The multimedia is stored no more than transiently during transmission from the mobile device to the destination television.
