    Abstract: A control system for an automated vehicle includes a receiver, an alert-device, and a controller-circuit. The receiver is configured to receive a report of a takeover-event broadcast by another-vehicle at a location, said takeover-event characterized by an other-operator of the other-vehicle engaging a manual-mode of operation of the other-vehicle at the location while the other-vehicle was being operated in an automated-mode. The alert-device is operable to notify a host-operator of a host-vehicle. The controller-circuit is in communication with the receiver and the alert-device. The controller-circuit is configured to, in response to a determination that the host-vehicle is approaching the location, operate the alert-device to notify the host-operator of the host-vehicle about the takeover-event by the other-operator of the other-vehicle at the location.

    Abstract: A connector assembly includes a housing. The housing defines a cavity configured to receive a coaxial electrical terminal. The housing has a first end an a second end opposite the first end. The housing also has a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The first side and second side have opposed locking ribs. The coaxial electrical terminal has a wire end and a terminal end oriented orthogonal to the wire end. When the housing engages a corresponding mounting bracket, locking arms extending from the corresponding mounting bracket impart a retention force on the opposed locking ribs and inhibit a rotation of the housing about a mating axis of the coaxial electrical terminal.

    Abstract: A method for identifying objects in a traffic space by means of a sensor system arranged at or in a host vehicle comprises the steps of determining the positions of a plurality of object surface spots detected by the sensor system in a vehicle coordinate system, assigning the determined positions of object surface spots to at least one detection group by means of a clustering algorithm, wherein the clustering algorithm uses clustering regions defining threshold distances, and identifying at least one object by determining that positions of object surface spots belonging to the same detection group form part of a single object. The determined positions of object surface spots are transformed in a transformation process and the clustering algorithm is applied to the transformed positions of object surface spots. The transformation process includes a directional scaling step that renders the clustering regions non-circular in the vehicle coordinate system.

    Abstract: A method for calibrating a mounting-device used for automatically mounting a contact-part attached to an electrical line with a connector-housing includes the steps of providing the mounting-device, marking a plurality of marking-points, capturing an image of the plurality of marking-points, and determining the positions of the plurality of marking-points. The mounting-device comprises a holder for the connector-housing, a positioning-device that includes a moveable-gripper that includes a marking-device, a camera configured to capture an image of a portion of the holder, and a control unit in communication with the positioning-device, the camera, and the moveable-gripper. The control unit determines the positions of the marking-points based on the image. The positions are indicative of an actual insertion-position of the contact-part into the connector-housing by the moveable-gripper. The control unit stores the positions of the marking-points in a memory of the control unit.

    Abstract: An electrical plug connector includes a plug housing having a wall with a first opening. A contact element holder surrounds the first opening. A collar extends from the wall, surrounding the contact element holder. A fixing element is detachably attached to the contact element holder and radially surrounds the contact element holder and part of the contact element holder. First protrusions project from the fixing element between the fixing element and the collar. Second protrusions project from an inner surface of the fixing element into the contact element holder. The first protrusions and the second protrusions are designed in so that after fitting the plug housing together with a mating plug housing, a collar of the mating plug housing engages the first protrusions, whereby the first protrusions are pressed inwards and whereby the second protrusions are pressed inwards against an electrical contact element held in the contact element holder.
