Abstract: Embodiments are also provided for displaying an image capturing mode and a content viewing mode. In some embodiments, one or more live images may be received from an image capturing component on a mobile device. A user interface may display the live images on a touch-sensing display interface of the mobile device. A first gesture may also be detected with the touch-sensing display interface. In response to detecting the first gesture, at least a portion of a collection of content items may be displayed within a first region of the user interface, and/or the one or more live images may be displayed within a second region of the user interface.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to the design of an append-only data storage system that stores sets of data blocks in extents that are located in storage devices in the system. During operation of the system, when an extent becomes full, the system changing the extent from an open state, wherein data can be appended to the extent, to a closed state, wherein data cannot be appended to the extent. Changing the extent from the open state to the closed state includes performing the following operations at one or more storage devices that contain copies of the extent: constructing an index to facilitate accessing data blocks in a copy of the extent contained in the storage device; and appending the index to the copy of the extent in non-volatile storage in the storage device.

Abstract: Shared content items are migrated between accounts on a content management system. Users store content items synchronized between one or more client devices and the content management system. A user may have multiple accounts including personal and organization accounts. Content items may be shared with accounts belonging to other users to enable those other users to view or manipulate the content items. A user initiates a migration of content items between accounts of different categories via a user interface, e.g., by dragging and dropping a folder from one account to another. The content management system recognizes that the user has deleted the folder from the user's first account and determines that an identical folder has been created in another account belonging to the same user. In response the content management system joins the second account to the shared folder, and removes the first account from the shared folder.
