Abstract: A lead-acid battery includes a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate, and an electrolyte solution. The negative electrode plate includes a negative electrode material. The organic expander contains a unit of a bisarene compound and a unit of a monocyclic aromatic compound having a hydroxy group. The unit of a bisarene compound is at least one selected from the group consisting of a unit of a bisphenol S compound and a unit of a bisphenol A compound.

Abstract: An estimation apparatus estimates an internal state of an energy storage device having a positive electrode, a negative electrode including a negative active material that contains SiOx, and a nonaqueous electrolyte, the energy storage device changing from a positive-electrode limiting type, in which a discharge capacity is limited by the positive electrode, to a negative-electrode limiting type, in which the discharge capacity is limited by the negative electrode. The estimation apparatus estimates the internal state of the energy storage device by using a voltage value and an energization amount in a predetermined voltage range of the energy storage device or at a predetermined measured voltage value, or based on information on the shape of a discharge curve of the energy storage device.

Abstract: An energy storage apparatus includes one or more energy storage devices and an outer housing that houses the one or more energy storage devices. The first pressure adjuster allows passage of gas and prohibits passage of liquid. The second pressure adjuster prohibits passage of the gas and the liquid, and releases an internal pressure in the interior of the outer housing when the internal pressure exceeds a predetermined pressure.

The CPU 33 controls input/output for when the assembled battery 20 is charged/discharged so that ΔSOC, which is the value obtained by dividing the amount of energization electricity by the actual capacity of the assembled battery 20, does not exceed an upper limit ΔSOC.
