Abstract: A method of transmitting at least one signal over a broadcast network, a broadband network or a hybrid network in a digital transmitter, the method includes generating service layer signaling (SLS) information for at least one service, the at least one service consisting of at least one continuous video component, at least one continuous audio component and at least one closed caption component; generating a service list table (SLT) for providing bootstrap information that allows a receiver to discover the SLS information for the at least one service; and transmitting the at least one signal. Further, the bootstrap information includes a destination IP address and a destination port of a MPEG media transport protocol (MMTP) session carrying MMTP-specific SLS, a MMTP message is delivered by the MMTP session signaled in the SLT, the MMTP message includes a caption asset descriptor, and the caption asset descriptor includes profile information for representing image captions or text captions.

Abstract: The present invention pertains to an audio playback method and an audio playback apparatus in a 6DoF environment. The audio playback method of the present invention is characterised by comprising: a decoding step of decoding a received audio signal, and outputting the decoded audio signal and metadata; a modelling step of receiving input of position information of a user, checking whether the position of the user has changed from a previous position, and if the position of the user has changed, modelling binaural rendering data so as to correspond to the changed position of the user; and a rendering step of binaural-rendering the decoded audio signal using the modelled rendering data, and outputting the same as a two-channel audio signal. The audio playback method and apparatus in a 6DoF environment according to an embodiment of the present invention uses position change information of a user, changes the volume and depth of a sound source together according to the position of a user, and can thereby facilitate playback of a stereoscopic and realistic audio signal.
