    Abstract: In the present invention, an inter-prediction mode based image processing method and an apparatus therefor are disclosed. Specifically, the inter-prediction based image processing method may comprise the steps of: deriving movement information of a control point for specifying a reference block of a current block; dividing the current block into sub-blocks; deriving movement information of the sub-blocks using the movement information of the control point; and generating a prediction block for each sub-block using the movement information of the sub-blocks.

    Abstract: An inter prediction method performed by a decoding apparatus according to the present invention comprises the steps of: receiving information associated with an MVD through a bit stream; deriving a candidate motion information list on the basis of a neighboring block of a current block; deriving an MVP of the current block on the basis of the candidate motion information list; deriving a motion vector of the current block on the basis of the MVP and the MVD; and generating a prediction sample with respect to the current block on the basis of the motion vector. According to the present invention, a motion vector may be derived on the basis of a candidate motion information list derived on the basis of a neighboring block. Therefore, the amount of data of prediction mode information can be reduced and inter prediction accuracy and overall coding efficiency can be improved.

    Abstract: An image encoding method according to the present invention, which is performed by an encoding apparatus, comprises the steps of: generating an adaptive motion vector range (AMVR) enable flag; deriving a motion vector difference (MVD) with respect to a current block; deriving a representative MVD value of an MVD range including a value of the MVD from among a plurality of MVD ranges; generating a coded MVD corresponding to the representative MVD value; and outputting the AMVR enable flag and the coded MVD through a bit stream. According to the present invention, the amount of bits allocated to an MVD can be reduced and the overall coding efficiency can thus be increased.
