Abstract: An exterior vehicle mirror system has a vehicle mountable support and a support arm. A mirror housing is movable along the support arm between the support and a distal end. An electrically powered mirror unit adjust mechanism can adjust the mirror unit about horizontal and vertical axes. An electrically powered pivoting and extending mechanism pivots the support arm about the support between an extended position and a position folded against a vehicle side. An electronic control system controls movement of the mirror housing along the support arm, and folding of the support arm, independent of an adjustment of the mirror unit. The electronic control system comprises a memorized position for the powered pivoting and extending mechanism.

Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror system comprises a reflective element assembly, a base frame coupling the reflective element assembly to a vehicle, a support arm for coupling the reflective element assembly to the base frame, and a pivot connection for pivotally coupling the support arm to one of the base frame and the reflective element assembly. The pivot connection comprises a pedestal having at least two detent ribs, and an opening for receipt of the pedestal therethrough having at least two detent channels. Pivoting of one of the support arm relative to the base frame and the reflective element assembly relative to the support arm moves a first one of the at least two detent ribs out of a first one of the at least two detent channels and into a second one of the at least two detent channels.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing vehicular slider window assembly includes providing at least one fixed window panel and a perimeter seal having elongated sealing portions joined at respective corner regions. Each of the elongated sealing portions includes a base portion, an elongated sealing lip and an attachment element. The perimeter seal is adhesively attached at the fixed window panel. The corner regions are sealed at the at least one fixed window panel via dispensing a sealant through a passageway formed at an end of the base portion of respective ones of the elongated sealing portions at the respective corner regions to fill a gap between adjacent end regions of the respective attachment elements at the respective corner regions at the surface of the at least one fixed window panel. A movable window panel is disposed at upper and lower rails of the at least one fixed window panel.

Abstract: A vehicular interior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head adjustable about a mounting structure that includes an arm having a ball member. The mirror head includes a socket that receives the ball member. The arm and the ball member have a passageway. The mirror head accommodates an electronic component and a heatsink that is thermally coupled to the electronic component and draws heat away from the electronic component when the electronic component is electrically operated and generates heat within the interior cavity of the mirror head. An air source directs airflow through the passageway and into the interior cavity of the mirror head and the airflow flows through the interior cavity of the mirror head and exits the interior cavity of the mirror head to dissipate heat from the heatsink and the interior cavity of the mirror head.

Abstract: A vehicular charge port closure system includes a cover panel disposed at a charge port of a vehicle. The cover panel is movable between a closed position and an opened position. When an actuator is electrically operated to move the cover panel between the closed position and the opened position, the actuator imparts translational movement of a translating element relative to the charge port and an outer panel of the vehicle. The cover panel is pivotally mounted at the translating element. When the actuator is operated to move the cover panel from the closed position to the opened position, the translating element moves relative to the charge port and outer panel and the cover panel moves at least partially away from the outer panel of the vehicle and toward the charge port and moves at least partially behind the outer panel of the vehicle and away from the charge port.

Abstract: A vehicular frameless interior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head and a mounting portion. The mirror head includes a mirror reflective element and a mirror casing. The mirror reflective element includes a glass substrate having a planar front side and a planar rear side. No portion of the mirror casing overlaps the planar front side of the glass substrate of the mirror reflective element. A camera is disposed within the mirror casing behind the mirror reflective element. With the mounting portion of the mirror assembly mounted at an in-cabin side of a windshield of a vehicle, the camera views a driver of the vehicle, and when the mirror head is moved by the driver to adjust a rearward view of the driver, the camera moves in tandem with movement of the mirror head. The camera is part of a driver monitoring system of the vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes an interior rearview mirror assembly having a mirror head adjustable about a mounting base. At least one near infrared light emitter is accommodated by the mirror head and is operable to emit near infrared light toward a head region of the driver of the vehicle that does not pass through a transflective mirror reflector of an electrochromic mirror reflective element of the mirror assembly. A driver monitoring camera is accommodated by the mirror head and moves in tandem with the mirror head when the mirror head is adjusted relative to the mounting base to adjust a driver's rearward view. The driver monitoring camera does not view through the transflective mirror reflector of the electrochromic mirror reflective element. The system adjusts processing of captured image data to accommodate adjustment of the mirror head when the driver adjusts the mirror head to adjust the driver's rearward view.

Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mounting arm and a mirror head having a mirror reflective element. An electrically-operated actuator includes a first attachment element that attaches at an actuator-mounting bracket of the mounting arm and a second attachment element that attaches at the mirror head. The actuator is electrically operated to cause adjustment of the mirror head relative to the mounting arm about first and second pivot axes. Abstract: A vehicular cabin monitoring system includes a radar assembly disposed in a cabin of a vehicle and operable to capture radar data. The radar assembly includes at least one radar transmit antenna that is operable to transmit radar waves and at least one radar receive antenna that is operable to receive radar waves. The transmitted radar waves are transmitted at least to a hotspot zone in the cabin of the vehicle. A data processor is operable to process radar data captured by the radar assembly. The vehicular cabin monitoring system, via processing at the data processor of radar data captured by the radar assembly, determines presence within the hotspot zone of a body part of an occupant present in the cabin of the vehicle. At least in part responsive to determining presence within the hotspot zone of the body part of the occupant, a window of the vehicle is opened.
