Abstract:
A damping mechanism for an opening and closing member that opens and closes an opening while changing a center of rotation has an arm with damped rotational speed to support a shaft part of the opening and closing member. A position of the shaft part with respect to the arm is changed along with the opening and closing operation of the opening and closing member by a guide member. The arm is urged toward an opening direction of the opening and closing member by a forcing member, and the opening and closing member is maintained in a closed state against the force of the forcing member by a locking member.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a damping device for parts of furniture which are joined together by means of hinges and which can be pivoted in relation to each other. The housing contains a damping fluid in the cavity thereof and a resistance element which can be displaced relative to the damping fluid and connected to an actuating element protruding from the housing. During at least one part of the pivoting movement of both pieces of furniture, said actuating element is drivingly connected to the second piece of furniture and transfers the movement distributed to the second piece of furniture to the resistance element. The damping device is arranged in the region of at least one of the hinges which pivotally couples both pieces of furniture, and whereby either the damping housing and/or the actuating element engages with one of the mounting element of the corresponding hinges, at least during the damping process.
Abstract:
A cabinet door buffer bar includes a hollow tube, a shaft, an elastic element and a sliding member. The sliding member and the inner wall of the hollow tube form different intervals there between so that a resilient member mounted thereon receives varying constraints and generates different buffer forces in different moving directions thereby provides the cabinet door a required buffer force to avoid generating annoying noise and incurring damages during closing of the cabinet door.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide an opening and closing member with damper for use in Western style stool or piano and the like which facilitates an easy control of the rotary damper and easy execution of assembling work, and the hinge members corresponding to the opening and closing member side are adjacently disposed at the same side of the two pieces of the hinge members at the side of the proper member. The rotary damper having a directivity is disposed between the hinge members that face each other, and the mounting member at one side of the rotary damper is tied to the mounting member provided at the hinge member of the proper member, and the mounting member of the other side is tied to the mounting member provided at the hinge member of the opening and closing member. With this arrangement, the opening and closing member is swivellably journalled on the proper member with the rotary damper on its axis of rotation, and the damping power of the rotary damper is applied to the swivelling motion as the opening and closing member swivells with the rotary damper on its axis.
Abstract:
Hinge with a hinge cup, which can be inserted into a boring in a furniture part, with a damper housing fixed onto the hinge cup, wherein the damper housing can be fastened onto or removably secured to the hinge cup wherein the damper housing is disposed at least partially outside the boring when the hinge cup is inserted into the boring in the furniture part.
Abstract:
A shock absorbing device uses a damper including a cylinder enclosing a viscous fluid; a piston rod; and a piston dividing the interior of the cylinder in two axially separated parts. The piston is connected to the piston rod and has an orifice communicating the two parts. The piston includes an inner member integrally connected with the piston rod, and an outer member disposed about an outer perimeter of the inner member and configured to be axially movable with respect to the inner member. The inner and outer members are configured to define a gap therebetween through which the viscous fluid can flow, and to be biased away from each other by a spring disposed therebetween. The inner and outer members are arranged so that the gap is reduced as the amount that the inner member protrudes into the outer member increases, to thereby define a variable orifice.
Abstract:
A continuous buffer cabinet hinge structure utilized in various types of storage cabinets consisting of a hinge that provides for movable conjoinment between the cabinet body and the door panel in which an articulating arm and a mini-hydraulic member are respectively disposed on the two mounting plates of the hinge and, furthermore, the articulating arm and the hydraulic member plunger rod are interlinked. As such, when the door panel is opened or closed, since the mini-hydraulic member has buffering capability that enables stepless continuous movement, noise produced during contact is eliminated and the cabinet and the door panel are protected from impact damage at the areas of contact.
Abstract:
A hinge (10) that is arranged to be self-closing by the provision of two inter-engaged parts that are pivotable relative to one another, by each part including a respective barrel portion (30, 50), the two barrel portions (30, 50) being coaxially and end-to-end. Juxtaposed ends of the barrel portions (30, 50) each have a respective cam insert (35) therein. The cam inserts (35) are arranged such that an axial compressive force acting through the axis of the hinge (10) causes the hinge (10) to close. One of the barrel portions (50) is extended and has a damper (72) positioned therein. The damper (72) dampens relative axial movement of the two parts of the hinge (10). Thus, a door mounted on the hinge (10) in a door frame has its movement damped and tends not to slam closed.
Abstract:
A closing device for sliding portions of pieces of furniture, such as drawers and the like, consisting of a container fastened to the fixed or to the sliding portion of the piece of furniture wherein there are housed a mechanical energy accumulator and an actuation member that is sliding into a guide of the container, and of a pulling member, respectively fastened to the other side of the piece of furniture, which interacts with the actuation member. The actuation member is directly or indirectly slowed in its movement by a deceleration device based on the use of high-viscosity greases.
Abstract:
It is an object of the present invention to provide a rotary damper capable of automatically adjusting an exhibited braking force in correspondence with variation in load. A fluid chamber 2 into which viscous fluid is charged is formed in a casing 1. A vane 3 is disposed in the fluid chamber 2. The vane 3 is formed with a fluid passage 5, and is provided with a valve 6. The valve 6 automatically varies a flow rate of the viscous fluid passing through the fluid passage 5 in correspondence with variation in load. With this structure, it is possible to automatically adjust the exhibited braking force in correspondence with variation in load caused by variation in rotational motion of a subject to be controlled, and to reduce variation in rotation speed of the subject to be controlled to an extremely small value.
