    Abstract: The disclosure provides a downlink transmission method for a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system, and a base station, wherein the method comprises: a base station selecting a downlink MIMO mode in a downlink transmission mode in which a UE currently is by using a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI), a Rank Indicator (RI) and a Preceding Matrix Indicator (PMI) which are reported by the UE within a time window; and the base station transmitting data to the UE by using the selected downlink MIMO mode. The disclosure achieves the effect of increasing the coverage and capacity of the LTE system to the maximum.

    Abstract: Methods for presenting files upon switching between system states and portable terminals are provided. The portable terminal comprising a first system platform and a second system platform, a state in which the presentation of the file is controlled by the first system platform being a first state, and a state in which the presentation of the file is controlled by the second system platform being a second state. The method comprising: detecting, by the first system platform in the first state, that a status of the file satisfies a preset condition; backuping, by to the first system platform, the file for the second system platform; and switching to the second state, and continuing, by the second system platform, the presentation of the file based on the backup file. With the portable terminal of hybrid system architecture according to embodiments of the present invention, if the system state is switched while a file is being played, the switched-to system can continue presenting the file based on the backup file, according to the presentation progress before the system switching. In this way, it is possible to achieve a seamless presentation of the file before and after the switching, and thus improve user's experience.

    Abstract: Techniques are provided for scheduled and non-scheduled delivery of messages. A message directed to at least one consumer is received at a message entity. The message is determined to include a scheduled delivery time. The received message is stored in a scheduled sub-queue of the message entity. Activation metadata is retrieved and stored for any messages stored in the scheduled sub-queue that include a scheduled delivery time within a predetermined upcoming time period. If when the message is received, the scheduled delivery time of the message is within a current activation window, the activation metadata for the message may be extracted and stored immediately. The stored activation metadata is analyzed to determine a batch of messages in the scheduled sub-queue ready for delivery. The determined batch of messages is stored in an active sub-queue of the message entity, to be ready for delivery at the request of a consumer.
