Abstract:
A method for controlling a power-shift transmission comprising controlling a vehicle travel speed by simultaneously slipping two or more clutch packs associated with opposing directions of vehicle travel and adjusting an engine speed, according to a programmed response associated with a change in one or more of the engine speed, a torque converter slip, a selected direction of vehicle travel, and an accelerator position.
Abstract:
A high-stability shift circuit using amorphous silicon thin film transistors, which utilizes two out-of-phase pulses to control the operating mechanism and the bias-relations among transistors in the shift circuit. This makes the transistors under the driving conditions of positive/negative-alternating biases so as to restrain the voltage shift of the transistors such that the threshold voltage will not excessively increase along with the increasing operating time. This can not only increase the lifetime of the amorphous silicon thin film transistors but also extend the operating time of the shift circuit.
Abstract:
A non-destructive technique and related array for writing and reading magnetic memory cells, including sampling a first signal of a selected read line corresponding to select memory cells, applying a magnetic field to the select memory cells, sampling a second signal of the selected read line, and comparing the first and second signals to determine a logic state of the select memory cells.
Abstract:
A full-zone optical image addressing apparatus, including an addressing device, an image extraction converter, a comparator, an AND gate and a counter. The addressing device is located at the enclosure of the scanner and includes a plurality of geometric patterns. Each of the geometric patterns includes a plurality of rows of pixels. While receiving an exposure signal, the image extraction converter extracts one row of pixels from the addressing device, such that a series of analog signals is obtained and output to the comparator. The comparator then compares the series of analog signals to an analog critical voltage to output a series of analog comparison signals to the AND gate. The AND gate synchronously processes the series of analog comparison signals and a pixel rate clock to output the pixel data corresponding to the extracted row of pixels to the counter. After receiving the synchronously processed pixel value from the AND gate, the counter calculates and outputs the extracted row of pixels, including the amount of pixels and the geometric patterns in the row of pixels.
Abstract:
A circuit with an inter-module radiation interference shielding mechanism is disclosed. The circuit includes a circuit module producing a radiation field. At least one radiation shielding module is situated between the circuit module and another module that is vulnerable to the interference of the radiation field. The shielding module is substantially tangential to the radiation field.
Abstract:
An MRAM cell including an MRAM cell stack located over a substrate and first and second write lines spanning at least one side of the MRAM cell stack and defining a projected region of intersection of the MRAM cell stack and the first and second write lines. The MRAM cell stack includes a pinned layer, a tunneling barrier layer, and a free layer, the tunneling barrier layer interposing the pinned layer and the free layer. The first write line extends in a first direction within the projected region of intersection. The second write line extends in a second direction within the projected region of intersection. The first and second directions are angularly offset by an angle ranging between 45 and 90 degrees, exclusively. At least one write line may be perpendicular to the easy axis of free layer, while the other line may be rotated off the easy axis of the free layer by an angle which is larger than zero, such as to compensate for a shifting astroid curve.

A method of manufacturing a memory device is provided. The method includes forming an electrode over a substrate. The method also includes forming an opening in the electrode to provide a tapered electrode contact surface proximate the opening. The method further includes forming a phase change feature over the electrode and on the tapered electrode contact surface.

Abstract:
A terminal computer display assembly, which fixes a monitor onto a rotary supporting base provided. The support has a set of rails with a plurality of positioning units longitudinally aligned, and an inclined angular-positioning unit to limit the backward inclination of the support within a particular range of angles. The monitor is fixed onto a sliding block which is attached to the set of rails, allowing the monitor to move up or down freely for in a suitable highly location. A buffering unit is installed between the sliding block and the base, and it can prevent the monitor from falling instantaneously while positioning the height. The base is furthermore built with a circuit board inside for act as in interface for connecting to other accessories.
